what exactly are they and what do they do? seen vids but not entirely sure,

They Fire on their own, without consuming PP, at a steady rate of fire causing status based on element and damage based on TP.

Yep. Comes out at a random percent and everything. Store bought ones have element based on star-rankage though. Synthing your own seems like a better Idea.

You synth them using range PMs. Each rank uses different bullet types (laser, etc).
