All work in Early Stages, looking for help in any shape or form.
Intended for PC and Dreamcast.
Release date unknown.

Alisa III, the last ship from a fleet of 400 which fled Palm 1048 years ago, is sucked into a black hole. It emerges on the other side across the galaxy and 2313 years into the past. Barely functional, it crashes on a nearby moon, which happens to belong to Earth, and all aboard are believed killed.

The Earthmen investigate the crashed ship on the surface of the moon.
They use its technology to create a early form of mother brain.
Due to the technology being unstable and new by doing this it has hazzardous enviromental changes to their solar system.
Earths moon is detached from their orbit and drifts aimlessly out of their solar system.

Aw 3099. A destroyed moon containing the Alisa III re-enters Algo.
Joining the Solar system without explicit damage to the other planets atmospheres.

A research crew sent by the Goverment start researching the crashed vessel.
Space is quarentined off due to strick regulations from the goverments of Algo.

Suddenly Bio monsters start appearing all over the planets of Algo.
Destroying many towns and cultures.

This is where Phantasy star 5 starts.

Bios:

During a scouting mission occurs by the Goverments of Algo on the Alisa III.
Nei cells are found growing untouched by time.
The Goverment quickly get to work restoring them.
Nei awakes trapped in a world she doesnt belong.
Seeking answers to who she is and why was she created?

Notes:
Her personality is an exact duplicate of other Nei's.
Although she isnt Nei from Previous Games.
Throughout her adventure a gang of numans, calling themselves The Sisters hunt her and Mieu down.

Raised since an early age in the Church of Nialdan.
He prepares to go on his spiritual mission as assigned by the head of the church.
Through this mission the course of this his adventure begins.

Notes:
Jona is very concearned with his moral feelings with the Church.
Deep within his heart he is unsure that his actions can be justified.
His senior brother Rem is a constant mentor to him.
There love/hate relationship brings out the best in Jona.

Raised by the previous Lutz.
This version of Lutz is almost a myth even within Esper society.
A man forced to live the life of another and unable to live out his own individual destiny.
This bothers him but all it it seems pettywhen Lutz remebers all that have fought with him in previous lives and battles.
He is hid in solitude untill the time comes for him to fight again.

Notes:
This Lutz will be quite similar to Rune as in his skill and knowlege.
Although it isnt Rune and therefore he appears more cold in personality.

A relect from a distant age.
A personality of his own and individual freedom.
What Buck most desires is to find others like himself or his creator.
He is an expert sharpeshooter.

Notes:
Buck is a hunter for the guild.
Cast out by society for his lone wolf behaviour.
He now is forced to stroll from town to town.

Little is known about Demi.
She claims to hear voices of the dead.
This has made her been seen as Evil by many people and also some presume she is a biomonster of some kind.
The truth is a much darker secret than that.

Notes:
Demi isnt Demi from PS4.
She is extremely powerful at using techniques and skills.
Players will have an choice as to if she joins their party.

Jess works for the same Church as Rem and Jona.
She is one of the head researchers there.
Jona and Rem escourt her on their mission to explore the Alisa III.
She developes a close bond between them both.

Notes:
Jess isnt powerful with standard attacks.
She can create combo techniques by mixing chemicals with items.

Chen is the ultimate martial art expert of Algo.
A protector of his small town.
He starts to develope hand to hand combat skills in order to eliminate biomonsters with only his bare hands.
He longs for the day when he can fight the ultimate opponent.

The Jet Li of Algo.

Kidnapped by the Goverment as a child.
Lily is rescued by the Terrorist faction that Sara works for called The White Rose Society.
She is incredible fragile and unaware of how tremedously important she is.
Her powers are not yet aware to her.

A resistance group fighter that is determined to show the corruptness of the Algo goverment.
Her group the white rose society is responsible for many terrorists acts.
She is wanted throughout the world.

Notes:
She is extremely opinionated and looks down on Jona for his faith.

Once a ruler of his town and the King of his land.
He now has been forced to bow down before the Goverments and Church.
His people are suffering because of this.
Alec swears to stand his last ground for his people.
Before his people lose all hope.

Notes:
Alec is a heavy slow fighter with serious impact to his attacks.
You can choose to take him along or not.

A Cyborg that survived on board the Alisa III and was able to avoid being discovered untill returning to Algo.
Mieu wakes up in a Goverment holding cell.
Hackers are trying to inflitrate her data systems in the hopes of extracting some unknown information.
She is able to escape the labs with the help of Jona and Lutz.

Notes:
This is the same Mieu from PS3.
Her memory of previous events access is denied to her.

Wren is a cyborg that helped save Algo from Dark Force.
He resides in a hidden space port where he monitors the planet Algo.
He is contacted by Mieu and this is where he joins the party.

Notes:
Wren is installed into the space station.
In order to play as Wren your party must collect all his body parts and download him into the Wren Type Cyborg.

A great Lt. of his Church.
He has been on many missions and always kept his faith and completed his goal.
He believes in his religeon and is an extremely passionate fighter that will never be scared to push things to the next level.

Notes:
Taking Jona under his wing, Rem teaches him how to become a true fighter.
The two become best friends.

A decendant of Zio, her bloodline have been on Algo for centuries.
She is currently one of the heads of the Church of Nialdan.
Working with the Goverment she leads the research of Aliza III.

Notes: She is not a playable character.

This series sole intention has been altered to change them into Zielda's personal body guards.

Update:

Shopkeeper are being worked on at the moment.
Expect similar things as in PS2, even a few familar faces.

I have been working on the Dungeon and decided to re-do alot of elements mainly the walls to suit more with the look of the game.
The result below is still a WIP as no details or the main bulk of shading have been added yet.

Just a small update to show you some early designs of Portraits (Obviously these are not finished and Id love your opinions on them).

Also a dungeon room from the first dungeon.

Hmm. Good so far save that I'll have to wait and see how this works out with the rest of the PS continuity. The 'in town' shot I realize was probably just a quick throwtogether to show what the party would look like and such, mostly because it was just a screenshot of Aideo(whatever the town name is with the hunt'rs guild) with your sprites tossed in. Good sprites(though the angel-girl's going to need some explaining on just why she has wings and a halo). I like the tileset you have for the dungeon save that its a bit plain looking(no 'stuff' in the rooms like busted tiles, dead bodies, equipment/furnishings ect). Trust me, spicing the dungeons up with otherwise ueseless objects wil lgreatly help you gain a favorable review. However that comes later, after you get the basic mechanics of character development down(stats, what each character's role in combat will mainly be, ect).

Thanks for your in depth comment.

Your exactly right about Aideo, I hope to have a more futuristic look for most of the towns/cities.
Some old towns from Phantasy Star 4 will make a comeback,looking almost exactly the same with minor modifications (due to the fact my game is about 200 years after PS4).

As for the dungeons your advice is most helpful and I will get on it right away.
I think some desks,dead bodies, busted tiles are exactly what is needed.

PS continuity has always been a concearn for me...technically Dark Force is dead and has been since the end of PS4.
Dark Force in PSV isnt what everyone is expecting it to be and therefore can mislead people who know full well that Dark Force was destroyed in PS4.
Like you said its a case of wait and see but I can asure you this isnt going to be one of those "Dark force didnt really die!" type fan games.

As for Kei (The Angel Girl) I feel her design is a bit OTT and I might rework her a great deal depending on what the community thinks and my own personal feelings.
All I can say is that as the player progresses through the game they will have chances to sway which side Kei chooses to become (IE. Good or Evil), very similar to star war KOTOR.
As for how she came into being... without giving too much away she is very similar to Demi and Wren in the fact that she is man made but for what purpose.
So no need to worry about me bringing in Christian beliefs or anything like that in this RPG.

Your PSV project looks pretty good, except... I am not sure how to comment. I guess I will wait and see...

Edited: Updated city looks kinda futuristic.. It combines a feeling of PS2 in the world of PS4, which is pretty unique.

Edited: Your PS5 looks better and better. About Jona, his attacks greatly resemble Chaz, while Buck's attacks resemble Wren. Other than that, everything looks awesome!

Just updated with an early test of a city.
This isnt finished by a long shot but my mind was running blank on what a futuristic city would have in it, so as I work on the dungeon adding detail etc... I'll try to update the city at the same time.
Right now its plain but I hope you get an idea how im trying to mix phantasy star 2 and 4 styles together.

I intend to have a nice variants in the cities and towns, some cultures will be advanced and use technology while some will be more like classic PS4 style, tents or small buildings, farms etc...

Okay so the update above is my non-animated part of the city (which will look like the above City sprite when finished, I plan on having this City be quite large and am going to have connecting bridge/s to other parts of the City, So take this update as Part 1.
The city is a gambling type place where you will be able to enter Casinos, Fight Tournaments and fun things like that.
The population is very devided amongst the rich and the poor, this will play an itegral part in the side missions of the city.

Yeah I appreciate you got where my influences were going.
I feel the game will need a more grittier/Futuristic city and that was my first intention but it kind of came out more clean and Modern day looking than I at first expected.

For some reason Animation Shop has to limit the colour down to 15 colours which is the reason for the weird dots on this animation but the actual frames and animation is much more cleaner, I havent found a way to get round this at the moment.
You get the idea anyway.

Yeah that happens when i get excited. LOL um.. so that is embarrasing.

As for attacks unfortunately 50% of the attacks will be recycled sprites in one form or another.
For example Jona's animations were adapted from Hahns.
I do intend on having brand new fighting styles and animations so it will still have some fresh battle aspects for the characters.
This is something I am working on as of today.
Hopefully I will have some extras in the dungeon area as well.

Thanks everyone.
We are re-working all the sprite plus making a few changes to the cast of characters.
Demi has turned into a female Lutz now etc..
Alec has been scrapped in the hopes of making a deeper character.
I'll let you all know once we get enough material to make a large update.
So just keep watching.

This looks like it has a lot of potential, I think I'll keep an eye on this. I would suggest getting the plot worked out before you get all of the sprites and everything together. I've fallen into the trap of reworking everything at once while I go along and for a project as massive as an RPG it can easily overwhelm.

What kind of medium are you using to put all of this together? By that I mean, is it being programmed in a language like C or are you using some kind of RPG creation program (I don't intend to insinuate anything by suggesting that; I'm just curious).

I loved the Phantasy Star Series ! (I have the Genesis and play PSU on PC.) I'd say that PS2 sold me on roleplaying games. I do like turn-based fighting but PSU's active engine is very exciting too! Sadly, I missed PS1 because I never had the Master System and didn't get the adaptor for the Genesis. Someday maybe I'll snag a compendium of the 4 if one exists.

PS5?? Awesome! I commend you for continuing a great series of games. I would undoubtledly buy it as soon as I could.

Cool! I realize this it an amazing amount of work for 1 person to do, but I hope to see the final product as well. Even if it isn't as great as PS2 or PS4, we'll all still give you mad props!

Of course, one question would be if you had anybody doing music for the title. Of course, a lot of stuff would have to be done before incorporating music, but I'm curious, anyway.

Ok, I love the City animation... it even has Alys flashing on a sign! I love the blood and gore dungeon, one thing my mind is spinning about is why don't you tell us something about the levels and what they gain each level? If you can't do it now, anytime will do.
