So, for some reason that I cannot fathom, my desk has started making this irritating squeek.

I was playing 1up last night, when I kept hearing this odd chattery noise. I had my headphones on of course, but couldn't seem to locate where the noise was coming from. For a few minutes there, I feared I had gotten a mouse infestation.

So, after another hour or so of ignoring that irritating sound, I realize that it's my computer desk. Anytime I so much as touch the damn thing it makes this styrofoamy squeek noise. It just started happening last night, and it's driving me bonkers.

I CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT PART OF MY DESK IS MAKING THE NOISE. ;{

Sincerely,

insane

I feel your pain, even if I don't hear it (thankfully!).
I'm the sort who's driven way up the wall by stupid, little things like that. I envy those who can simply tune out minor noises; for me, quiet, repetitive sounds are the worst. Hope you get the nuisance pinned down and eliminated. :<

How do you stay on the computer with that constant hum?

My PC chair creaks really loud when I move, it's a real nuisance.

Huh, my chair used to squeek. But now it doesn't anymore. I think the squeek somehow transported over from my chair to your desk some time last night. See if you can't get it to transfer to someone's car door or something?

It is better to have a chair that squeeks rather than a chair that injures your back. My old chair was a nuisance to my back, but the one I use now is fine...
