11/20/2007, just like the online stores said it would be.

Edit: Only $20 for the 360 version, but still $40 for the PC/PS2? Wow, drive more players away from us why don't you, Sega... http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I already posted this in the AoI sticky.

Anyway, in before 270 users complain about no offline story, EU users complain about 2 month delay, and PC/PS2 users complain about it being twice the price of the Xblock version.

They should have made it the 21st, just to mess with people.

I'm fine with it, as long as the Extra Mode gets the new missions/items. And if we don't...well I think I played like, 5 hours of Extra Mode total...it won't really bother me. =p

I hate to say it, but moreso if it gets shipping delays and I have to wait until Friday to buy it. You should still buy it anyway to support this game so that they make another expansion!

Well, the 360 EU users will be able to dowload it, not too happy about no offline mode, but it's 20 bucks cheaper (not to mention it takes up 8 gigs less space >_>) and I was only going to play offline mode once anyway, and if it's an exact copy of the online, only with voice overs and cinematics, it's not worth it anyway.

Same voices, it just means offline story mode (previously online story mode) will have voices.

Have you looked at the offline Screens of AoI? -.- There's definately more than just our current online Story Mode with voice actors added. It starts the same though.
For one was there Mother Brain in our Online Story mode?

I saw this this snipet of info that might help explain the lower cost of the 360 ver along with no extra mode of course.

The US Official Xbox 360 magazine revealed the revenue breakdowns of a typical $60 Xbox 360 game.

$12 - Dealer or Retailer
$12 - Microsoft royalties and production cost
$7 - Marketing
$20 - Development cost half scratch here
$9 - Publisher

I cant believe this...

...A 2 month gap, you got to be kidding me...

You will now have the server split in to two now. You got the unlucky set of EU players stuck with the stuff from v1, v1 missions, v1 clothing, they can't see there class level going up. Hell the might as well boot us from the game until AOI is released here. This is gonna divide the community up harshly, until all the EU PC players decide to import leaving the handful of PS2 players in the dark. It will feel like were being outcasts to this commmunity. Hell, by the time it gets to the tuesday all of the community will have all v2 stuff, meaning the rest of us wont see jack on there inventory. Hell, in battle all we will see is the damage number. They had more than enough time for translation, This is an outrage argh.

This is BS

didn't the gms confirm this awhile ago. besides as far as I know the 20th is just the shipping date. you'd still have to wait a day (2 in the case of canadians due to some shipping law or something. don't know what causes that just know it's there T.T)

Umberger is correct. That was a free, non-story mission featured in offline Episode 2, as a way of letting offline players play some of the new areas in the new data weeks before they're actually added online.

Only thing I can think of is the Voice Acting Translations for offline.

All 360 PLayers will not have offline, which means far less voice acting translations ( only voice acting will be done by the desk clerks, which should be the same as in PSU anyways ).

For anyone considering an import, straight from Clumsyorchid on the PSU boards:

AOTI doesn't require a new subscription, which is what caused the European group from registering on the US launch date last year. Importers should be able to buy a copy and play as soon as they get it. The game is a complete standalone release, no other installations are required to play.

Probably because they ship to US (or manufacture them there, who knows) first, then ship them up here, and charging us extra (way extra >_>) covers those shipping costs.

I want to know, what the hell are the EU lot suppost to do with a 65 days wait for the AOI. A month wouldn't be so bad, but they've shuved us into next year. WTF. Im supprised Im the only EU/PS2 play to say something, cause I tell you now, as soon as it reaches 10-11am GMT tomorrow morning, there will be alot of unhappy faces. And Lobbies during the day time for GMT will get realy quiet after 1up. I can see alot of people disappear for a while when the 1up Cup is over. Everyone in the US, please count yourself lucky that you dont have to wait like us EU people and please dont rub it in either cause anything like the will cause a huge community split....

STOP STOP STOP STOP STOOOOP D:

Sorry to shout I just have to prevent anyone from getting false hope from this..
(I'm an EU player who imports) Swap Magic lets you play an Import game on an EU / AU Ps2, but as soon as you try to go online with a US / JP game on an EU / AU console - the DNAS will not allow you to play online, just offline.

I know this from PSU JP, PSU US & Monster Hunter JP so trust me D:

its got to be one of four things:

1) region coding for the PS2's
2) language addition for EU countries
3) marketing/product roll-out schedule differences
4) all of the above

but then i realised, PSU's STILL a fantastic game ^,^ and i mean if anyone from EU is like me their char still has a lot of lvling to do & weapons to gather & Mission points to gather, so inbetween work (and or) school - 60 days rly isn't that long to wait :3

I guess none of the 360 players care that they're losing out on the offline mode?

Well, I guess it all works out. Only a few will bother with it anyways.

I feel bad for our friends on the other side of the big pond. They have to wait 2 full months. That is BS. For me, I can't get the game until after Thanksgiving. I pre-ordered it at gamestop today, but since it is the PC version, they won't even order it until the 21st. Not to mention that I ordered it at a Gamestop where my college is, while I'll be back in my home state for the holiday. Either way, I have to wait longer to enjoy the AOI goodness. But patience is a virtue.

Probably because they ship to US (or manufacture them there, who knows) first, then ship them up here, and charging us extra (way extra >_>) covers those shipping costs.

Import taxes. 90% of the time that's why games cost more in certain countries.

its got to be one of four things:

1) region coding for the PS2's
2) language addition for EU countries
3) marketing/product roll-out schedule differences
4) all of the above

The fact is that how can you transfer your char in this server?

in JP, you have to insert AoI CD-KEY to register on your ID, and they will move you to AoI system.

but what about us? I know we dont have CD-key on PSU, but to transfer char, we might need to do something, and they might require ur to input CD-key.

Let's hope there will not be any CD-Key on AoI US

People are asking where to import?

http://www.videogamesplus.ca

amazing website in canada. use them all the time. they take 3/4 days to get to the UK for shipping and they ship on or before release date http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Last year, when the 360 version came out, they even held them back when they foudn out you couldnt buy the license on UK marketplace straight away, and contacted you to let you know this and then shipped them out if it was okay by you.

They really do care

Ok Just what is sega thinking (as you can guess i just read the News) 2 months delay for the EU Pc/PS2 players thats is Bull. for one a 2 month delay means that many EU players will be overloaded with stuff when it does finally get released. Look heres a basic list of stuff thatll be sure to happen before EU release

1. Clothes and parts - at least 3 (male and Female) new sets of clothes, 1 (male and female) new Parts Set as well as CV versions of old colthes
2. New PA's - By the time the Eu gets access to em many US/CA players will have em capped out
3. NO ACCESS to Casino Volaye for 2 months (or even the abilty to get Free coins each day)
4. New Rooms - remeber you cannot access player rooms using the AotI room sets if your using PSU so that will cut out many shops.
5. 9+ new missions with new S rank drops (Many cannot be used or even seen without AotI) but there are some we can use (like premade 10*'s and kubara 10* Melee's)
6. Episode 3 chapter 1 and lumia as an NPC (T,T)

and thats just the start.

Thank god i decided long ago (when the expansion was 1st announced) to import cause i knew something like this was gonna happen.

Wth no offline story mode? >:( I was really looking forward to the cutscenes and getting Ethan's card. Grr! They better freaking fix the opening CG to be the one from AotI with the new remix of the song, or I will freaking cry... or go back to FFXI with WotG. -.-

Excellent price! Helper-Elf was in Universe 2 last night and mentioned that the expansion would be 'a good deal', I don't think anyone believed him. Turns out he was right http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif Slightly disappointed in the lack of offline story mode for us 360ers but given the predicament of the PC/PS2 players over here, I'd rather have no story than the expansion in January...

Just what though, exactly, are they using the 1.75GB of data for if it's not video?

Err... forest, caves, mine, weapons, clothes, music, character voices, makeover stuff, textures, geometry, sound effects, and hopefully the new opening to replace the crappy one that the girl sings. :/

Good thing that I had my mind set on importing, as with the original game. I just hope that I'll be able to hop online right away. :/

And on the bright side, I've barely gotten anywhere in the online story, so it'll all be pretty new to me!

My fears for the download xbox version were: duh! cutscenes = lots of Gb or ripped videos. Problem solved with no offline http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

My hopes were: yay, no delays being European (and more delay for sega games in Spain, fu#% Atari distribution :S) so now I say: YAY http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

Uh, and European version only have English voices, so if they have to translate something they only have to translate texts to French and German, but we will see if the 360 download has already the translation or not and discard or confirm this

999% in all stats, exclusive access to S6 weapons, infinite HP, able to use Nanoblasts AND SUV weapons, can dual-wield every weapon, and can use tanks.

Also all other classes will be receiving a nerf.

Same here... I thought December was too long to wait, now JANUARY? *Holds two fingers up to SEGA Europe* Import time.

Oh and all that stuff about extra languages blah blah is just BS. They could send the US version straight to the UK as it stands without any modification (which they will anyway, only... two months later).
