Have you guys actually read the website, for 360 players the WORLDWIDE release date is 20th of November so that means the WHOLE planet (if you own a 360).

If your talking about PS2, well than hard luck i guess.

Indeed. But isn't said that the PC release for EU is 25 Januray too? >.>

A mod will get it.

Eh... if you play on the pc version, then yes, as long as you don't need one of the EU specific language packs in the game.

As for the ps2, you either need a mod chip, or a disc to allow you to play in all regions.

X360, eh... just download it like the rest of the community.

I was going to say that, but I figured I wouldn't.

Mod chips also void the warrenty, just so you know.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that, but also, the disc that allow you to play all region games on the ps2 can be bought online for like $20 I think. try play-asia or something along those lines.

PC version would be the easiest to import imo though.

Jeez, first EU gets jipped a month at release and now two months for AoI? Smooth move Sega!

If your PS2 is modded or you use swap disk, you cannot go online. DNAS can check for these and will block you fron accessing online if either or those are found.

The only way to get play it online with the PS2 version is to get a legit USA PS2, the right electric socket adapter/transformer, and the US AoI. Or wait 2 monthes.

PC and 360 are ok. Just download or import.

Why is the US PS2 essential? I'd heard the EU PS2s could go online now?

Region coding on PS2 disks.

Swap discs are a far easier solution...

Not for getting online in PSU, no.

Time to throw the predictable "k, why?" question.

The DNAS, like Kairi said.

Ah, I somehow missed that even with a re-read of the thread. My bad.

DNAS is the PS2's cockblocking anti-piracy system for Online games. I'm not sure if discswapping would mess with it, but I know it works wonders on Japanese online games unless you use a JPS2

edit: Ohey didn't see Kairi's post

Uhm? Why would you not have that in US version? You play with EU so it can't be that the language packs are not in there. Even now psu supports japanese characters, and i don't even have the language pack on my computer.

Anyway, so cool, eu players can get us pc version anyway.

Sami: Not necessarily?

If you're referring to the PM/NPC speech, then odds are that's sent out from the leader's game client (NPCs appear to be fully client-side, including fighting), so that wouldn't contradict languages being specific to different versions of the game.

It was originally a simple issue about whether EU players can import AOI from the US and play it online, but now..... I am http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_confused.gif

There is way to get by the dnas problem, however that is not the only problem you will face with this. You cannot use swap magic at all unless you have a soft modded the console. There are several ways to go about modding your console but until this is done the discs are useless.
