Whats so good about Crea Weapons? They are weak but don't they hit like 2 mobs or somthing like that?

If I'm not mistaken, the Crea/Creas weapons hit multiple enemies even if the weapon type normally hits 1 enemy. EX: A saber will only hit one enemy per normal swing, but a Crea saber will hit 2 (I think even three) enemies if they are close enough together.
