What does duped mean? I know its a stupid question. Does it mean duplicated?

dupe is when you take an item and do a little trick which i won't explain how to do and you end up with two of that item. so yes its duplicating an item.

So, you can get basically any item you want, as long as you know someone who has it? Also, you could have as much money as you want, just keep duping items and selling them. That sounds to good to be true.

It ruins the game's economy, and we all wish that Sonic Team could do something about it. Everyone is walking around with Black King Bar +80. It sucks.

In the DC version, people gave me a ton of duped items and I didnt even know about it.
Dont think duping is fun or ok. It will take the gameplay and replay value right out of the game.

Duping and hacking items is what ruined version 1 & 2 on the Dreamcast...not to mention the pking and noling. It was too easy to get what you wanted...you had no goals to work toward. Hell, you could even get to the max level by using a cheat code. Duping may seem "fun"...but it's just a lame, lazy way to get what you want.

All PSO Hacking sucks... I've played online once at my friend's house (DC version) and his character got hacked... it was at level 78... he had to make a new character and start from scratch. As soon as he got his new character to level 7 that one got hacked too!

Like others have said on this thread, the only real reason why I don't use dupes is that you get burnt out real quick and the game no longer becomes fun.

Finding your own stuff, even if it takes 100's of hours, means that you will never get bored of playing this great game.

And as a testmaent to this, ive been playing for for 2 years now, over 3 versions.

Those that tend to use dupes (tends to be newbies) usually tire in a month or two.Besides, i can't describe how rewarding it is finding the good stuff yourself.
