Mine turns itself on. It doesn't have a lock, and at a simple press of the play button...

i still use the archaic CD player, same problem at out_kast mp3 player though, also drains batteries much faster than MP3 http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

Mine occasially shuts off when I go to the folder list, despite having nearly full battery.

iTunes doesn't read my iPod anymore.
I have to restore it to factory settings but that means I lose about 20+ gig of music.

maybe iTunes broke, my MP3 player couldn't put music either, I reformatted it, no dice, reformat the PC, works again.

Mine said to wash your hands after handling it, I think it has small amounts of lead in it. >_>;
