Fanworks was distinctly lacking Art. So, here is Art for the first time in a long while.

Click Art for a bigger version. (484k)
For the horrendously large version click here (http://blitzkommando.com/psu/art_hyooge.JPG). (2.3MB)
And yes, I took liberties with her hair. PSU lacks a decent pony tail.
Her name is Artillerist just in case you can't take the joke.

Nice to meet Art.
I dig the Companion Cube sig, by the way.

the media (well, other than the background) looks like it's natural, if that's the case, wth hell kind of scanner do you use? The pencil mark quality on that 2.3MB image is far better than most I've seen.

Background I just did a quick black fill so it wouldn't be blindingly white. I use an HP C5180 (all-in-one unit, scanner, copier, printer) with it's own "Scan to memory card" thing because the drivers are busted except for OSX. Aside from that I love it.

Nice job, I've always had a love for penciled work. The only flaws I see are the chin, which seems a tad off center, and the hair. The head seems larger on the right (her left) side then the left side. The hair masks this on the right but it seems a little thin on the left.
Other then that it seems nice.

Perspective. Her left is closer to the viewer than her right. (Hint: look at the shoulders)

If she's supposed to be facing right then the perspective is still off ;(
Her eyes, nose, and mouth all point straight at the viewer but the rest of the head is facing right. Not trying to be rude, just critiquing.

Guess PSU "Does it wrong" too.

Oh, and for reference, you were rude.

That wasn't rude at all, he was simply explaining his critique which you, actually, were rather rude in response to. There is a difference in perspective between the drawn piece and the screen shot, and Shligger described it very well.
Critique is something that any artist is going to need to get used to, and accept, constructive or not.

Perspective looks a little off, the face is looking straight forward, while the chin and jaw are in perspective. It's probably because you tried to stay to close to the gamemodel (I could be wrong).
And there is nothing wrong with the critique of Sgt_Shligger. Just like Deucer said, as an artist you need to learn to accept critque. If you don't, you keep making the same mistakes over and over.

PSU is a bit off proportion though, yes.

Yeah, his pencil works are following the game model (pretty closely.) The perspective issue is the game's amazing skill of character modeling.
We do need more Art in here..

The anatomy of the gamemodels in PSO was the worst though... But it's better to draw gamecharacters in your own style, it gives a picture alot more personality.
And yeah.. art is defenitly lacking here.. but I don't always feel like drawing PSO/U related stuff
