In the past, I use to host Meet & Greets to keep the community in touch. Over the last year though, some real life issues prevented me from keeping up with the monthly meets and later stopped all together. I know others have been trying to keep meetings going but I wanted to continue my work to keep the community unified. I will try to throw in events here and there, probably gets some events I have had planned in the past in action, but not all Meet & Greets will have prizes.

So throw in your opinions here. Open to any comments.

I would attend these types of meetings whenever possible. It's fun! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Definitely.

In some ways I prefer PSU to PSO but the community isn't nearly as good, I used to play PSO with a big group of friends but with PSU it's always been random parties at mission hotpsots.

It would be good to meet some new people and run some of the more obscure missions. You could even create your own mission hotspots so one week everybody meets up at Moatoob and then Parum the next etc.

I tried to set soemthing like that up, and I met one new player http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

If you set a certain day, there should be at least two time slots, to cater for the timezone differences.

A greater sense of community would be great, I like to attend our meetings whenever possible.
Now keeping in touch after those is another issue.
Theres only a handful of people here I regularly communicate with: Pengfish, Ryuki, Johanna, Beatrix, etc. Theres plenty more, just dont feel left out since I cant summon up names at this time of the morning.

I always thought you stopped doing it because of the spamming.

Sounds like fun, well if you have any problems with prizes, I could help out with donations and stuff. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/heartcookie.gif

I don't care if they go on or not, but I'm really not interested in them. Every event I've ever been to on PSU has been really disorganized and uncomfortable. I mean, don't get me wrong; it's mostly because of PSU and how the chat system works and how characters load for me (PS2), not because of the hosts. So a meeting once per month? I probably won't attend.

I was gonna say, I thought we used to do this. I'd love it if they came back. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

For the most part, all my event have been organized well with little spams here and there but they were usually controllable.
