I would just like a price check on the following items currently on the JP servers:

Te / Tech PP Save
Sori / Force
Sori / Tech

Also, what is needed to use Shadoogs? MST or TP? And when you can equip it, what does it base its attack off of?

Thanks.

Only thing i know for sure is that shadoogs power is based off TP. Someone on JP can probably answer the rest.

Shadoogs require ATA to equip.

Shadoogs shoot bullets automatically
Madoogs use techs.

The following are lowest value prices I pulled up while doing a custom item search

Te/Tech PP Save = 4 mil
Sori/Force = 250K
Sori/Tech Charge = 80K

Wow why are those tech/charges so cheap? What is te/tech pp save used for over there?

Shadoogs and Madoogs?

I ask cause I bought a sori/tech to boost my ATP on Shadoogs, so is that wise of would a te/tech pp save be better?

And Thank You for the prices.

Sori/Technicharge, I assume, has crashed because of that one mission full of Force goodies. *shrug*

Shadoogs require ATA to equip but your TP+ATA stats are what will determine how effective you are with them. So basically Newmans and humans ( with 5% acro bonus) will be the most effective with them.

I recently bought a Sori / tech charge and I am hoping it will help my acrofighter with Shadoogs, I'm pretty sure I won't be affected by the negative effects of it.

Damn, I paid $3.5 mil for mine last week http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

Yes please let me know how much it helps/hurts.

I won't sell my sori/tech anyway probably, but if it has the extra cost, I may just snag a sori/force while they're cheap for the heck of it.

Any idea if te/tech pp save will help it cost less?

The Shadoog doesn't actually use TP, there is no bar. It just auto fires. So Sori / tech was the correct choice. You want high ATA n TP.

Nice. Even more exciting now.

Hmm...looks unwise to have a CAST acrofighter use a shadoog...For those who know more on the subject, is the CAST + shadoog combo even worth it?

Some info on shaddoog dynamics as a cast would be appreciated.
And how do they do versus a pistol? Yes, I know they shoot even while you're attacking, so discuss the other benefits of shadoogs versus handguns and vice versa.

Shadoogs really aren't comparable directly to pistols/handguns. When it comes down to it, they're just so drastically different. Heres the basic lowdown though:

Shadoogs
+ Autofire, even while you're attacking
+ Status effects to suplement your attacking.
- no real control over what they shoot
- they shoot in straight lines where the enemy is, not where it will be. So they have very bad accuracy against moving targets.

Basically, its free damage and status effects. If you're not planning on using an offhand or use an offhand very sparsely, then theres almost no reason to not use a shadoog. Even if you're a cast and your TP sucks.

The disadvantage of course, is that you need to switch to another weapon to use real ranged damage. The damage on them will never compare to that of a handgun, twin handguns, or cards. So when you need that ranged damage, you need to use one of them. Personally, I keep most of my single handed weapons with a shadoog offhand. Even if its just for some periodic confuse / paralysis. And just swap to twins when I need ranged damage. But I know some people, like Lyrise, keep a handgun offhand, instead.

Are they good with Slicers?

Itsuki

The only reason why they're not good with slicers is because the range on the slicer PA is pretty big, and its outside of their targetting range sometimes. So sometimes they don't shoot at all. You have to make an effort to get closer.

Ahh, ok then. I was never a big fan of the new saber PA's, so if I don't start I may have to use a dagger if distance becomes an issue.

Not if they want to do higher damage as soon as you can equip Shadoogs, I'm sure that mission won't be out for US right away.

Paid 3.2 for mine, expect the price to stay the same or higher until that missions for US.

I hope that prices in the offline are much cheaper, because this is non-affordable!

I don't see why anyone would use a tech/pp save anyway.

yea not only are u out of range, sliers move alot when u use them and u can miss the enemy if your moving alot with it (im constantly moving around to try to hit every enemy that spawns with 1 PA XD)

What level status effects do they inflict? Is there a PA for them?

Carlo210

Shadoogs are like melee wepaons in that they have a set element. I think the status effects is level 2.
