View Full Version : Weapons grinds accurate?

I grinded a weapon once or twice and when I tested it out to see the results but the weapon did about same damage, is this normal or did I get ripped off? Also does luck come in handy because I was using C+4 grinders and my weapon broke. :/

Most weapons you have to grind alot to see more damage. And yes your luck does matter.

Luck is very handy when it comes to grinding. I can make a difference between barely being possible to a possible chance.

Its normal to see a weapon doing about the same damage when it is grinded for a small amount, but when it gets around 7 or 8, you will notice a different. As for broking...bad luck it seems.

Thanks, so even though grinding increases Accuracy and Attack it won't always result in doing the right amount of damage. It's a good thing it was one of my beginner weapons, ironically I miss that weapon.

yea a few grinds doesnt make much of a differnece, but the PP difference is usually nice http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

also yes luck does effect grinds and dont be suprised if they break it happens often -_-

also some weapons will grind much better than others http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

O hell, I posted in the double post one.

Some weapons grind better then others >_>

First grind on melee weapons dont expect much, second still hardly anything. Once you reach about 5 youll notice a difference.

I grind guns, and the best part about grinding them is the additional PP for my fighgunner. The output is only really noticeable between dramatic grind levels, like a 0 and a +10

Thanks, do all weapons have their different results when you grind a couple of times?

Kubaras usually grind better, if thats what you mean.

Tech weapons/guns always get a boost in PP.

you didnt get ripped off, weapons just dont tend to get a lot different with only a couple grinds... you especially wont be able to tell much when you are looking at C weapons... although it might not look like much, it may be more than you think... if you're doin 50's at 0 grinds and then 60's at 2 grinds, its only 10 points up but its actually a 20% damage increase from where it started

as far as luck goes, it gives you a better chance to grind successfully... on 3 star luck days, you can use C+1 grinders on C weapons for the first 2 grinds with no chance of failure, but on 0-2 star days only the first grind would be guaranteed... for more details, just use this guide ----> Guide to weapon grinding (http://psupedia.info/Weapon_Grinding)

And Tenora weapons usually grind pretty badly... Very little ATP/TP and PP gain for the Grinder... It's almost not even worth the first couple grinds on them.

It's the price we pay for grinding on weapons that already have ricidulously high ATP to begin with. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

It's 5 ATP for 1 point of damage, so yeah. In most cases grinding is just for extra PP.

Someone else posted this before me. I find it very handy tho. Has every grind % for all ranks, grinders, and luck.

I got that pic from another post here in the forums a while back. It's the only one I have, tho there might be more. Also I use that same guide for %'s when grinding C and B rank weaps. Seemed fairly accurate. No idea if S ranks are diff tho.

Eh, no Remedy, that was created just before the JP servers went to AotI, and I think the person who made it has little interest in the old grinding stats.

Yeah, I was the person who posted it.

If you want to know more about specific grinds, then run this web-page through the translator of your choice (provided you don't speak Japanese):

http://psu.fei-yen.jp/wiki/html/DB2FC9F0B4EFB6AFB2BD.html

While it may not have EVERYTHING at every grind level, it's a good springboard. Anyway, enjoy.

Unfortunately, that doesn't have strict percentages, though. Oh well.

And yeah, I have the wiki (tunneled through a translator) bookmarked, so... http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif
