Gifoie rocks! It may just be my #1 damage doing tech. For example, using it against a sinow... Before I walk into the room, I cast gifoie twice as fast as I can and then run into the room, causing the sinow to fall. Of course, by that time, he's then taken two gifoies. During this time, I've already hit him with one or two foies, equals: PWNAGE 2 TEH L33TNESS

Otherwise, foie rocks most of the time. Grants is great for some situations as well.

its funny Cajun, i do the exact same thing... But not only with the Sinows... Nooo... Almost on all stages you can stand outside the room and hopefully hit every single one of those fire loving creatures http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif... But i have to admit, its not as fun as going berserk in the middle of a room, blasting Gi-foies and dodging incoming claws or whatever... Ive said it once, and ill say it again... Gi-foie is sooo underrated....

As of u, i dont use the simple Foie alot at all... Probably only on the Sil-dragon... Can u give an example of how to use it efficently??

And this need to be said... Gi-barta... IMO, sucks big time...

Foie? I just stand back and let loose with one after another, usually. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif With an Agni, I can do well over 400 damage to monsters that are weak against it, and it's pretty fast so that I can take down Bartles and such without them even getting within 10 feet of me. GREAT versus small numbers of monsters, otherwise I'll just use gifoie.
And I understand what you mean about gifoie... it's not the most exciting spell in the game. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif MUCH more powerful than my rafoie though.

Pfft. You people get too close for comfort. I cast Zonde from Pioneer 2 and then walk through the area to collect all the treasure. You can hit anything with Zonde from outside its detection range if you have enough space. In fact, I can kill Mericarol (the jungle mini-boss) without it even knowing I'm there.

And when surrounded... nothing freezes up a group of enemies like Rabarta. Or for large packs of Bartles/Vulmers/Gilchics(ult)/Arlans... nothing thrashes them like a few well placed Rafoies. Not to mention, Rafoie looks badass at higher levels.

I like the combination of Ra and Gi-foie though... Especially in Ult.ruins... Because 2 or 3 Gi-foies wont kill them, not even 4 as i recall... Thats when Ra-foie shows its prowess... On short distances... It so manuverable and quick... Though, not as powerfull

Thats right... Ra-barta is pure ownage when it comes to the ice-spells IMO... And i really cant stress it enough, Gi-barta is useless... Im actually pissed off that i sucks so much... Its because im a FOmar i suppose....

Actually, I really like gibarta as well. Since I use a FOmar it does great damage, and its cone attack range is effective for hitting a group of monsters that're uh, huddled together. Yeah, it's pretty damn tricky to use, but when used well it can hit many enemies at a pretty good range AND cause freeze. Also, enemies that are very close to me will get hit too, as if I casted a really tiny rabarta.
If my rabarta wasn't so damn weak (it's at Lv30 as well, oy), I'd probably use it instead, but I tend to only use ra as a quick freeze attack.

One of the cool things about FO are that they're so damn versatile. Lotsa different play styles in this thread. Simple techs rock for long range.
