List of commonly Duped Items??

I was wondering if there was a decent list of some items that were the most commonly duped. I've had some pretty exquisite offers for some crazy weapons like a Black King Bar +80 for Materials, and I'm pretty sure that the BKB was a Dupe. I use common sense when trading and when the deal sounds too good to be true, I refuse or look for something else which is equivalent to what I'm trading.

A list would help me determine items that I intend to find for myself instead, so i can have the joy of finding the Rarer items in PSO instead of trading for them.

Unfortunately (as always has been) duped items will range from trivial things like MATS to really rare items like that black king bar you just mentioned.

But recently, the most 'common' dupes have been heaven punishers, BKB, MKB and Double Cannons as well as armours such as the Sacred Cloth.

As it stands, the rarer the item, the more likely we are to presume the item as duped. This is not always so, as I have learned over the previous incarnations of PSO.

But you have to ask yourself, if you DID hapen to find a legit black King bar, or another 12* equivalent weapon, would you really trade for mats?

Of course not- even my crummy 25/ 5/ 0 /35 Flowens sword is precious to me.

In those type of situations, your legit MATs are worth more than any 12* dupe.

If you're not sure what items are duped, don' trade. More than likely, your initial instincts will always be right.

Yea I noticed that a certain Angel Mag with 180 something Power, 2 Dex and the rest on Def is duped. I was in a room this morning with 2 people having it. Of course since it's a 200 mag they think they get all your stuff. Normally duped stuff is noticed by someone trading stuff that's too good to be true like BKB for mats. I believe God/Battle and God/Power is duped. Someone wanted a Booma's claw from me for a Battle. I had a feeling prolly Kasami Bracer but high lvl armors with 4 slots are duped. Sigh I really hate this dupe junk because everyone is going to eventually have all the same stuff and if certain items(Like Dark Flow,Dark Meteor and Dark Bridge)falls in the wrong hands it's over now! At least Cure/Frozen and Cure/Paralysis is not duped because only like 2 people have it and I want it. If that's duped, no hope for the world. sniff. I have suspicion that SD(Shadow Dragons) clan have to do something with dupe stuff. Just a thought.

Well I'm just looking at what is normally duped the most as I will try to avoid trading with people that carry around those items and be suspicious. As for the list, if it's a very hot item and it's duped pretty frequently (like the BKB or Double Cannon) then I'm not gonna trade for one until I can find one on my own.

Finding the items for the Double Cannon will be worthwhile when (and if) I ever find them and if people question me on if it's a dupe, personally I'll know it's not and that means more than anything else.

I'll stick with my legit bread & butter weapons like a Dragon Slayer over a duped BKB or Double Cannon any day.

I just hope that by the time I finally get online with PSO GC that Duping isn't going to make the stuff I know i've found legitly isn't going to make me look like a duper or someone who takes dupes. And TheWill, if you would like to make a trade offer for my legit Cure/Paralysis I'd be more than happy to get rid of it (I think it's useless to me).

Also, notice a person's overall demeanor. I know of some people that use certain supposed dupes that they actually found on their own. If they act like complete morons, or just have trade shortcuts that sound completely ridiculous, just ignore them. Just don't accuse people of using a duped item because it appears to be a common dupe. I, for one, as well as many Redrians have found a God/Battle from a Hildet. If you're truly concerned about the duping, just don't trade with people or accept "gifts." IMO, true PSO item satisfaction comes when you finally find that ?SPECIAL WEAPON box you've been looking for. Btw, just because someone has a 4-slot Rare armor, that does NOT mean it is duped. Ya now that the Olga Weapons are EVERYWHERE people are focusing now on Guild Milla or things that people never hear about anywere or see. Now the game is over, I just like playing and having a goal, like to use a certon weapon or a certon armor, I think thats the fun part, who cares if it has been duped, the fun lies in the gameplay. Where else can you play like this?

Back in the DC days, I actually gave a shit about duping. Nowadays, I more or less just accept it. It's gonna happen, there's fuck all I can do about it, so I won't worry about whether something is duped or not.

there is 3 ways i usually say if an item is duped or not, if anyone else got another idea go right ahead. but as for the 3 ways is:

1. when looking for mags i usually check stats because usually most mags are all power and nothing else. also most duped mags are rare already.

2. any mono,di, or tri grinders added to the weapon. if i see more than one of the weapon(w/ added grinders) then it's most definitely a duped item. i usually go for an item w/o added grinders.

3. if sombody ask for a very common rare for a non-common rare.(The reason i am saying this was i was trading with this one person online and he wanted a DB saber for a meteor smash, now who would want to trade for that?!?!?!?

so that's all i can think of if anyone can add more it will be helpfull.

Newbie/lurker here. Sorry, but I had a question. As I am new to the PSO world (I just got the game a few weeks ago, and am not even connected online yet), I was wondering, what is this "dupeing" everyone is talking about? How does it work? What are the advantages and disadvantages? How, if at all, can you tell if an item has been "duped" or not? Thanks in advance. I am such a newb...

Duplicating. My only goal now is to kill as many dupers in battle mode as I can with their own weaponry. I'm going to find my own and throw theirs away one day. But as my level stands, that's pretty far off. (HUmar lvl18, RAmarl lvl20, and FOmarl lvl18.)

The benefits and disadvantages of duping really depend on where you stand since everyone has a different arguemnet (duping makes the game better, duping ruins the game, duping is okay only in certian scenarios etc.)

As for the grinder thing, will I personally grind all the weapons I plan on using for a long term period to their maximum level. So right now I have a buster +25 and a Brand +32 sitting in my bank while right now I'm working on a booma's claw (+5 at this point) So I don't let grinds factor in much when considering if an item is duped.

However it does seem a little suspicious when that item is grinded to it's maximum at a perfect number.

errr high level armors with 4 slots are not always duped. anyone heard of add slots. they cost 1 drop each and i have quite a few drops and add slots. however that doesnt mean that everyone running around with kasami bracers found them, of course most are not legitimate.

Duping(Duplicating) is the low and PATHETIC way of getting the item you want.It is cheating and takes the fun out of playing.If you become a duper,people will hate you so I STRONGLY recommend that you stay legitimate.

and so stupid... the grinded therory- c'mon. I have a Yamato and red hangun that I have grinded out. +60 on the Yamoto and +50 on the red handgun. If I find a grinder I apply it to any/all weapons weather I use it alot or not. I like all my weapons maxed out... they become more valuable if/when I trade them.

No rare weapon, armor, item, mag, etc. is sacred. Just like someone pointed out previously, "check out ebay, dupes for sale", they're selling rare bundles. The proliferation has begun, any and all trades could be a dupe and the trader might not even know themselves they have a dupe. If you're a sceptic, do a search on "pso rares" on ebay and you'll see.

If you want to be totally legit you'll also have to stay away from trading with strangers.

I remember it vividly!The ole 15 for 3 months on v2!Seems to me,sega can't stop it like i've always said...the best way to keep a cheater from spreading into the NON cheating LEGIT players,is to create a better challenege!

Example: Make quests downloadable for cheaters...VERY hard shit,and stuff thats not short!Like a decatholon type quest.And when thats done,make a new 1!

Or...like alot of PC games do,make a NON cheating part of your game for THIS part of the server,and a cheating section for THIS part.I know TONS of BIG pc games do that.Ultima Online is one!

Consoles are always going to have cheating.Sega should do something to the effect i just mentioned,OR get out of the BIG boy games and goto the kiddy shit where people could really care less,and it doesn't really matter!

I dont get why all of u people are so upset about duped items. I was pretty pissed off about duping at one point, but now i dont even care. If someone offers to trade a bkb for your booma claw, are you honestly going to say no if you really want that item but could never find it? I would trade for it in a instant, and I wouldnt care if it was a dupe or not. If people are going to keep complaining about dupers all I can say is "do u want a little cheese with that whine?"

Don't mistake me...i don't really care either way myself.But if people is looking to solve problems,i gave my opinions on WHY they were there int he 1st place.

i been at both ends of the spectrum.And either way,the most fun i have ever had was just kicking it with my friends!All the lobby BS'in.Like some girl called star always wanting to "GET" with everyone.And the endless wining of certain people whos names i already forgot.

That was the fun shit.And i assume it still is.I don't play much online with the GC version.Waiting for the KB release.Which i found a connector to buy and assemble to use a regular ps2 PC KB on ur gc.Until i get a means of communication there,its pointless to me.Virtual KB's SUX BALLS!

Lol..the Sacred Cloth is about as good as Divinity Armor..XP Not worth duping. I know you were just giving an example, just saying is all..=l
