Any hints for a new RAcast?

Both of those weapons are necessities I say. I carry a good high power rifle and a good shot in the past few PSO on DC and I still do on this one. You need something for crowd control and something for one on one.

You wouldn't want to enjoy the whole game and lvling up and doing runs just by using a shot series? omg I'm going to have a nightmare now.

A rifle with your choice of high ATP or a nice special that you like(Some people like to freeze certain enemies so they can take care of them, some like to confuse enemies to they fight and finish each other off, some like to steal HP/TP, etc).

Get one of your higher characters to make a nice high lvl MAG, preferably with about 25-40 DEX, and the rest in either POW or DEX.

Shots you want to compensate for their lack of accuracy and power by using a mag that augments that.

I agree with Brundridge. You need both.

You can use mechs for one on ones, but the range of them are shorter than the rifle. Unless you get a yasmikov 9000m http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/love.gif , which have a range of a rifle and it steals HP, which is good for RAcasts. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Sometimes I use other weapons just for fun depending on what difficulty I am on or to see if they are usefull or not.

i like to use shots to harrass enemies and buy time for hunters to finish them. hildebears, nano dragons, ob lilies, ect. when i am offline and i need to finish something quick, i just break out the mechguns. rifles are good when you are out of the perception range of enemies. and dont forget photon launchers. a guilty light almost always hits the dragon and de rol le when they are flying.

but if you want to get your hands dirty, save a pair of s-beats blades for him. s-beats are a dagger that racasts can use. this almost makes up for not having the chainsawd available to them anymore. if you like getting up close you can use 9 star non-rare gungnirs. gush and chaos are good ones to save.

Personally I carry a Shot(crowd control) and a Rifle(damage for 1 on 1.)Mechguns do good damage but have short range AND HORRIBLE recovery time. While the rifle has nice recovery time with nice ROF.

Hmmm... I have to agree with pretty much everyone else. If you're playing as a RAcast, I would keep both a Shot and a Rifle. I have a RAmar and I tend to use Rafoie for crowds, but since you have no techniques it'd be good to keep a gun for crowd control.
