What would you do if your gamecube broke down? I have been cube-less for almost 1 and a half weeks now. I am getting it repaired, and it should arrive any time now (thought it would have been today, but apparently Nintendo and UPS thought differently).
So what have I done without my PSO fix for this last week and a half? I did the normal New Years Eve stuff (party, drink, sleep), but what about all that downtime? I had work for 2 days, but still...
I have finished no less than 3 GBA games, and beaten COUNTLESS Mame roms. I finished an Xbox game, watched alot of anime... but I still feel that urge. That gnawing, all-consuming urge to play PSO! It's deep inside me, screaming to come out! I have been on PSOW so much, and it only feeds that need the crumbs... it just leaves me wanting to play! TO... PLAY... (drool) PSO!!!!!! <--- Stark Raving Mad

Anyway, what would you try and do if you found yourself PSO-less for 1.5 weeks?

Well... nothing special. Just having my normal life back. I'd speak more time talking to my family, going out for a meal or a movie with gf, reading books, etc...
Sometimes I think PSO absorbes too much of my life, leaving other, more important, aspects behind.

I'd swap it for a new one using 2-year Best Buy warrenty :3
I'd curl up in a ball and sulk for an hour in my blanket. Then I'd go out and buy another GC since my old one was barely a month past warranty. At least, that's what I did last Thanksgiving weekend. =P
If that option weren't available to me, I'd probably spend a LOT more quality time with the little misses. Heaven knows she was secretly happy when my old Cube broke down, but she just won't admit it. Also, I'd probably study more, start sleeping 8 hours a night again, and get my social life back. Heh.

I'd do what I'm doing now... Talking on the comp, and playing some of ym stuff for PS2. I'm waiting for my HL to renew, ((Why does it take so damn long!?)) so I can't play online right now. And I don't like playing offline. Especially since I haven't even beaten Hard offline yet.

Read a book. I went through books real fast at the library when I wasn't addicted to anything else. (be it pets, Starcraft, PSO, etc.)
I always take time to spend with my family, no matter how much I want to play.

I would sit there and sink into the abyss of my empty mind and drool for hours upon hours until my brain told me to go buy a new one.http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I don't understand what happened to you gc to make it break down? Here's some survival stories about GC's.
My friends GC Survived his 3 year old cousins fun. The kid poured pop into the on/reset/open buttons. He had to press the buttons down with extreme amounts of force.
I was playing Sonice Adventure 2 and the phone rang. I reached for my phone and i tugged the controller. The Gamecube came tumbling off the top of my tv, which sits on a HIGH counter. I answered the phone(scared for my GC). I finished business, then i went to check on my GC. I plugged it back in and pressed power. It didn't read the cd. I opened up the cd tray, the motor was about to fall into the GC, but my Sonic cd was holding it up, i pulled the motor, and pressed power. By some miracle my gc turned on. The gods were shining on me that day. That was nearly a year ago. Gamecube works fine to this day.
Anyways that was kinda offtopic, but if i didn't have anymore pso i'd actually do my homework, study, draw, and get some damn fresh air.http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Ah, almost forgot - when my Dad had a nicer job, I went rock climbing. We had a subscription to the local climbing wall gym (well, 20 minutes away). We still have all the equipment and crap, but with a lack of practice, I'm afraid my skills have all been placed back in their latent state. I once qualified for the national competition, but I got 35th or something in my age group.

I'd probably START playin Grandia Xtreme or Wild Arms 3 that I got for Christmas. They look so fun, but I can't stop the urge to put the smack down on the dragon....
