I see in the sticky topics that whips are only going to fortetechers and acrotechers. now forte only gets lvl 10 skill and acro only gets 20. so does the whip arts only going to lvl 20. Nobody else can equip them!!
Also how the heck are they going to be any good if the max skill lvl is 20 and its in the hands of newmans.
I mean unless you are a cast acro, but then your tp is kinda useless so your spells suck. and beast isnt much better.
Is it 4 human characters?????

I just dont get it. which is a shame cause whips look awesome in the vids.

Wartechers have A-rank whips and they get level 30 Skills.

However, no, it is impossible to use both level 21+ Whip PAs AND an S-rank whip.

well that just stinks lol. a ranks will be more valuable than s rank whips lol. cause u cant use whips to full potential. Is this just weird or what.

unless they are saving it 4 master classes ??

A master class can probably use them to the "full potential."

Possibly. But yea to your question, Whips can go up to 30 on WT. I have VIshi Grudda at 30 on my JP character and kinda like it.

Well as stated in some of the other threads, its damage output isn't impressive, but it gets the job done if you can get multiple targets in.

just so you know a rank weapons at +6 or 7 ARE in fact stronger than s rank no grind weapons. so.... no worries then right? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Except we get [B] Grinder S in the expansion, so that's a nonissue. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Cept each S grinder board costs 40k, you can easily go broke trying to get high s grinders.

Good point but if its already a high modifier then it might not matter (unless its like Spinning strike with +2% each lvl)

It really pisses me off that actual fighters don't get whips. It would be perfect for them especially because it deals a very fighter friendly SE, and it's level 4. Not to mention that fighters kind of need a weapon that can hit practically everything in the entire mission. I just think it's so unfair that techers get such an amazing melee weapon and fighters don't. Moreso to me because apparently we aren't getting extra character slots so I'm not gonna have a character as an acro class. I know what the acro classes can do but it just doesn't seem worth it to me when the characters that I already have are totally awesome the way they are. That and both the acro classes seem really gimped to me. The Acrotecher is like "lulz noob I have level 40 support technics and you don't", and the FT is like "so what I can actually kill things", the AT says "yeah well I can shock things so they can't hit me", and the FT shoots back "yeah but I can do the same and I actually do damage". Basically the point of the matter is that a Fortetecher can buff with almost the same capacity as an Acrotecher but the FT is useful after the support part. I understand that it would be a tad unfair for someone like a Fortefighter to have a whip because they have such ridiculously high ATP that they can make pretty much anything do damage(ie: Spinning strike on a non-elemental buccaneer) but I would still like it anyway because of how much it would help a FF when hunting for a weapon because in the grandest of ironies all of their S rank weapons drop from very fighter unfriendly creatures.

Fighters get Slicers, which are the most broken weapon in the expansion. Quit crying. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Ah, apparently it's even earlier than I thought.

(2:09:43 AM) DarkAdonisTrance: [B] Grinder S is available day 1 of AotI, right?
(2:10:00 AM) xxx: You'll get it on the 16th if your update has all the 'pre-AoI' stuff.
(2:10:08 AM) xxx: Its not expansion exclusive.
(2:11:03 AM) DarkAdonisTrance: Oh, well okay then. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif
