Then you never will. Simple as that.
You can tune up all you want, and continue to tune and always improve and never be a "good artist." But you'll be talented and able to do stuff with yourself.
If you give up; then you die. So to speak.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not, but you're doing a good job so far.
Have confidence in yourself and what you do. Basically enjoy it and don't make it look like laboring work.
To me, you're doing an excellent job so far. It's not about how you start something, but how you finish it, after all.

Wow! such a negative energy! The only way to improve, is to believe in your own skills, and try to do things you thougt they were impossible.
I think your line work is pretty good! It's at least better than my stuff.
I see your coloring in Open Cavas.. I myself don't have any experience with this program, but as far as I have seen it, most people only do the sketching in OC. Most of the coloring you see here (or anywhere else on the net) is done with Photoshop.
There is nothing wrong with your linework (and thus nothing wrong with your drawing skills) it's just that your coloring could look so much better in Photoshop.
Anyway, keep up the good work!

Another thing to do that helps: put a pic of yours up in a workshop activity, where the whole purpose of it is for others to point out all the flaws and errors in what you did so you can fix 'em up. I did it for a piece of fiction I wrote once - they tore me apart, but it helped me figure out what I needed to improve on.

I have both Painter 10 and Photoshop CS however my computer can no longer handle the stress of keeping the program open. Heck wont even load photoshop anymore.
I live in a city where "Anime style" is NOT art.
So I stay with oC
and my coloring wont look well anyway im forced to keep a brace on my right hand for a while
EDIT: My college art teacher would smack your hand if you where EVEN thinking to draw in an ANime/not realistic style.
If you drew anything animeish you where kicked out of her classes

Uff, computer troubles and a hand brace? You poor dear~ D8
Try coming back to it when you can give it your all. Otherwise its frustrating, neh? Till then there are otherway to get better as an "artist".
Read, browse other peoples art, just soak up the world as much as you can~

Very similar to mine!
Heck, they groan when there's a sight of anime around the studio.
Hey, though. You don't have to have a full arm and leg to draw... I've seen a youtube video of a japanese CG anime artist who only draws with his mouth. I can't find it atm but that's all he uses with photoshop. But then again he has an art table for it.

I don't really get the link between "Anime style" and staying with oC..
and if PS CS is not working, you can always try an older version, as long as you got layer blend options, a brush, an eraser and the selection tool you can pretty much do anything when it comes to coloring.
