I just have a few simple questions that I guess alot of you can answer.
1. How do you achieve S-rank and what is it exactly?
2. What is the point of Multiplayer Challenge??
3. What do you think the best gun for a RAmar is?
4. Why does everyone say Spread Needle is one of the best? Is it because of its special attack(paralyze)?

You get S-rank by completing Challenge mode entirely and getting a certain time for each area. The total time has to be within S-rank standard. If you get S-rank, you will be able to get an S-rank weapon. It's a reward for completing the challenges in a set amount of time.
S-rank weapons are stronger than their found counter-parts.
2. What is the point of Multiplayer Challenge??
I beleive to get S-rank.
3. What do you think the best gun for a RAmar is?
There are way too many guns, and it all falls under personal preference.
4. Why does everyone say Spread Needle is one of the best? Is it because of its special attack(paralyze)?
It's a nice weapon because it shoots fast and spreads out like a shotgun. It's speed matched with it's spread makes it a nice weapon.
In Vers 2 it was looked down upon because every class could use it and it was very powerful. It was considered a cheap weapon, but I beleive it has been turned down in Episode 1 & 2.

Thanks for your help, but for damage which gun would you recommend using?

My lvl 8 RAcast is using a Guilty Light and a Justy. I like the Guilty Light (http://www.pso-world.com/items.php?op=viewarticle&artid=329&sortby=name) because it had the ability to strike opponents that are close to each other(expecially good for bosses) and I like the Justy because it fires a tad faster.
Overall, again, it just comes down to personal choice. Even though the Justy 23ST (http://www.pso-world.com/items.php?op=viewarticle&artid=71&sortby=name) is more powerful than the Guilty Light, I like using the Guilty Light more.
Just comes down to personal preference and the occasion. =)

do the offline c-mode times count towards the online c-mode times or are they both seperate?
if they are both the same then i'll be happy... my sister knows the c-mode levels better then i do so i could really use her help http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

And I believe offline C mode gets you a variety of non-S Rank weapons, depending on your time. From what I've seen, nothing really spectacular, unfortunately. It seems like the only way to get specific weapons like Samba Maracas though.

The offline c mode stages are the same as online, however, the choice of rewards are different, (online prizes all being S-Rank types, like Partisan, Shotgun etc, whereas offline rewards are unique rares like the Flower Cane, amongst many others).
I'm not sure, but also i believe that the completion times are tighter offline...I won't know until I try myself ^ ^

Does challenge mode affect your character? For example, if you die in c-mode, will you lose all your meseta? Also, if you don't feed your mag, will its sync go down? The first time I played c-mode I freaked out because my mag was automatically there. I prefer to starve my mag. I was just wondering if c-mode affects your character in any way.

cant say for sure but i dont think it does affect the mag because you play c-mode with preset weapon/level/techs/stats and of course mag.

Nope, from what I know C-mode offline doesn't affect your character. I played C-mode offline once and when I finished I checked to see If my character had more hours played. The hours were the same as before I played C-mode.

Thanx. Now I can play c-mode with a clear conscience, knowing that I'm still abusive to my mag.

Yeh, damn mag abuser, lol I should know. Once I accidentally left my game on for like a day and my Mag's synchro became 0 (BTW, 0=1337 =)
