its not in the pre-aoi patch, but do we get the new hairstyles before AOI's release?

No, they're part of the expansion. You must have the expansion to have access to them.

will we be able to convert pa back to disks in teh pre-aoi patch or is thet expansion too? want to start leveling some pa's on my main

PA disc conversion is expansion-only, as well.
