To be honest, this is the first time I had seen the henshin ability of the ninja turtles from childhood... I didn't know about the existence of "Saint Mutation" until a few minutes ago. For some reason, it bears great resemblances to the something like this:

I grew up with great classic cartoons like TMNT, Muppet Babies, etc. so I know how you feel.

I don't take it personally though, it's not like I watched a whole episode of these Japanesized Turtles. now that would be uncivilized. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I heard about this before, apparently it was very unpopular in Japan, I think they only ended up making about four episodes, or something.

Edit: Unless this is a newer one or something.

WAAAHAHAHAAAA! HAAHAA@!! HA !.haahahaaa....................

Sholy shit....that was hilarious...incredibly, stupendously hilarious...that was evenb wose than Powerpuff Grllz X thtch I actuall ysw in some naime clb meeting ;ong before Saner posted about it here...

But, on a serious note..at east this is so heooiblt it's funny..that new (ameican bade?) turtles on saturday mornign FozXob was just,,,.well, awfu..not even funny. This anime-vero rop wa hilarious...I can't tpye. worth hshyt.,..
still reeling from laughter...

EDIT: Okay! Let me try this again, now that I've recovered from the most intense laughing fit I've had in a very long time...(I'm keepin the original typing intact though since it amuses me.)

Holy shit, that was hilarious. Incredulously, stupendously hilarious. That was even worse than Powerpuff Girls Z back when I watched an episode of that in an anime club meeting long before Saner posted about it!

But on a serious note...while I can't remember the old Turtles well enough, wasn't there a newer, American-made bastardization on Fox Box? I saw an episode of that and was incredibly embarassed, and it wasn't even funny. At least this lousy anime was so horrible it was funny. Funny enough that I couldn't type worth shit but I still had to type it out.

I think this was an adaptation of the 1985 turtles TV show that most everyone here grew up with. They had Crain, Rockstedy and Bebop... Not to mention the art style looks very similair too

But yes... never again Saner, if you find something like this again, keep it to youself... seriously my childhood is raped enough with "Lunatics, Shaggy and Scooby-Doo get a clue" and various other "remakes" of older shows

I can't believe that somebody never saw the muppets, or knows what muppet babies were supposed to be.

Oh my god... if there was every a sign that I had outgrown a forum, this is it.

I mean, shit! How could you not know what muppets are? Where on earth were you to have never seen a bit of anything with muppets in it? If you avoided this, how are you old enough to even type, let alone turn on the computer?

The age range for muppet products goes from like pre-birth to 99+ years old. How you were able to avoid any of this makes you a very suspiscious individual.

As for the original post, I'm going to watch it now.

Edit: Ok, first off, I LOVE seeing the turtles in their old animated form, along with Splinter, Rocksteady, Bebop, Shredder, Krang, and even April O'niel. This is certainly fashioned after the original cartoon series.

That is, until the mutations. The first mutation form of the turtles makes them big turtles (but they were already very powerful in the cartoon, as they usually won every battle, so why they had to be more powerful is beyond me). But the second mutation turned them into something that was decidedly more human. Rocksteady and Bebops change was a little harder to believe, as the Rhino lost his grey color and turned... green.

Yeah, pretty bad. Not funny like I was expecting, but also not horrible like I was led to believe. While it's nice to see how they used to look again, it's also a reminder at the lengths people will go to in order to capture a youthfull audience.

Have things really progressed this far? The original TMNT cartoon was fabulous! Filled with epic fights, morals, and comedy. If they were to restart the storyline of the cartoon where it had left off, would the series be ignored? The age groups that would be watching it would not have experienced them so well as their parents had. I remember the turtles first showing up on TV when I was in like fifth or sixth grade, and it was a really great series. It got me interested in martial arts, at least, and that's something I continue to be interested in nineteen years later.

Do they really have to add all the extra mutation and advanced super-suit, robotic shit? If they do, I feel really sad for the current generation of kids.

I watched the series a lot as a kid, I carried an entire season of VHS tapes around in a giant white trashbag.

However, a few months ago, I rewatched a DVD release of the series my friends have bought (they collect a lot of DVD re-release nonstalgic stuff.) Frankly, viewing it then, the show was horrible.

There were continuity errors, coloring errors (like when hair becomes the same color as skin for a few brief frames,) mixed up scenes, jokes no where near funny. I found it outright bad, the only good thing about it was that some of it lead to a few good jokes.

Also, I know of the Muppets, even had one of the movies (I think it was about or involved pirates,) but I've never seen or heard of Muppet Babies.

I had to watch this video twice before I could comprehend the ridiculousness of it. Is it just me, or does "Saint Mutation" smell like a meme to anyone else? It was so hilarious, I might need to watch it a 3rd time through. The full episodes must be even crazier to witness.
