View Full Version : New melee and ranged weapon idea

Give melee and ranged weapons the ability to equip 2 Photon Arts to one weapon. You can switch between the 2 Photon arts much like would your second set of techs on a rod.

I'm thinking of unique possibilities here.. like equiping a Laser Cannon with oh.. Ice Prism and Phantasm Prism at the same time. Blast em with ice, if they get too close, press the switch button (like you would with techs) and knock them back with Phantasm.

Or knock an enemy over with one Melee Photon Art, press R1, and finish him off your slow high powered PA.

Seems like something that could really make some Photon Arts more useful, and battle more fluid. Instead of switching PA's in your inventory everytime a new mob shows up, or having a dozen weapons with different PA's.

They are all nice ideas, that would make melee and ranged too powerful. Its a neat idea and I been thinking about it mysel, but that would just make things too hard to balance and too awesome.

Your ideas are great. It would be nice if some of the melee and ranged weapons enable the function of multiple PA equipping as an inspired idea of the typical rod that have 4 slots. Hopefully, in the near future.. Melee and ranged weapons can be equipped with more than 1 PA.

ya this has been brought up several times before but nothings ever come out of it... mostly because there would be certain combinations that would make it impossible for the enemy to attack once you get started, like you mentioned using a quick attack to knock an enemy down, then finishing with a more powerful, slow attack... then startin the combo over again before it stands up
