I know that the current players of the demo are a childish bunch, but my question is have the many different problems with the demo ever been fixed?Examples(Crashes,Lag,frezzing, voice chat cut outs, etcs)I have read many old reveiws about this beta demo and heard that at the time it was a mess,Even though i have the regular game for the PS2 i have recently got a xbox360 and have always enjoyed demos of games an would love to try this one out,So has it problems been fixed or would it just be unplayable? in it's current form?

Truth be told I had less trouble with the demo than I did with the Retail game. In fact i was using the beta to find out if the game would run under normal conditions on my 360 and it worked fine. Slow progression compared to the story and Extra mode but after you get past that its ok. Anyway, once I had bought the game (bought it for PS2 at the time but had no intent on playing online) and tryed to play it I had started to encounter the problems every one was talking about. In fact the demo worked like a dream for me and was very misrepresenting for the main game. The only problem I see is that there arn't many people but the cheap little brats that can't or won't buy the game.

I had to use the network work-around to even get online with it then i get IRs all the time and disconnects. I still played through that and then had my 360 tear my disk up when it fraged its self. The system made a scratching ripping sound when I was at a loading screen in the game, I stopped the system checked the cd and noticed some scratches. Put it back in and got an error. Put another game in and it read the same....My system was dead. May the 360 rot in the underbelly for eternity.

I played the demo a few weeks ago with a friend who was considering getting the game. I didn't have any problems with it, except the people who want to use it as a free chat program.

I've had problems with my 360 eating the game disk as well. And the disconnects are bad with the real game... but I've never gotten a disconnect error in the demo...

I've had more problems with the game than the demo, but I suspect that's only because I've spent 100x more time on the real game than the demo. One time my 360's Hard Drive broke and I got the PC version and bought a subscription. Since my 360 technically still worked, I could play demos on it and crap. Turns out I was having more fun on the demo than the full version on the PC. There's some variables and stuff but that was just my opinion.

Anyways the only time I really remember the demo being a mess was when it first came out. The servers were crashing like crazy and it was a pain just getting into the server. Now the only real problems are the spam-fests that is Universe 1 and 2. That can easily be fixed by changing universes though.

The demo still has all the glitches it's had since the beginning. Sega just disabled the glitchy features instead of fixing them. Tutorial is disabled because sometimes it would randomly freeze. Reform tickets are unavailable now (even shops) because they would turn your room into the "Profound Darkness Dimensional Prison". Boss intro and death scenes were removed because they would freeze. etc.

Not sure why you like creating fat newman, but I am not asking either.

Eh, the only reason some of us play it are for the special events that Sega randomly throws, like this (http://phantasystaruniverse.com/community_xboxdemo.php).

i kno a lot of people are mad at the disconnects, and they are REALLY annoying, but they're there for a reason. They seriously discourage the people that make new accounts in order to get the parts, weps, etc. from them to feed their PMs. And it seems to be doing a good job of it. But honestly there should be a system to tell if ur doin this or not, and have the disconnects react accordingly. So those of us who arent trying to get free stuff dont get punished as well.
