Why are people so GAY for Mass Effect? Wtf is that game about? What kind of game is it? Wtf console is it for? WHY DO YOU CARE THAT MUCH?!

Mass Effect is a Bioware RPG created for the 360. It has stunning graphics, a great story, some awesome voice acting/ decision making, and great gameplay. I am waiting 'till xmas to get my copy, I will be to busy playing AoI.

Because mass effect is an epic Sci Fi Shooter RPG from everyones favourite RPG developer bioware.

It is also awesome according to many reviews.

It is a 3rd person shooter, except it is an RPG... except you can still use magic esque attacks.

it's a revolutionary and innovative original sci-fi galaxy and story.

it can't be compared to other sci-fi franchises cause that's like comparing Star Trek with Babylon 5, it's apples and oranges.

it provides the most advanced and natural conversation system that lets you form relationships with deep party members, npcs, and rich history of the game's story, alien species, technology, worlds, etc. etc.

you can create your own character (like Oblivion but easier to make a good face), and you are the star of the experience. You character has a voice and your dialogue choices affect what they will say next, and your choices have great impacts in the present and future events in the story.

multiple endings, the freedom to explore different parts of the galax, some scannable, some landable, and the combat is similiar to a 3rd person shooter + real-time RPG hybrid. lots of customization, and other great features.

and the story, exploration and experience is 10x times more epic and personal than even BioShock.

and there's more to mention about it but Mass Effect is a new game and franchise (planned trilogy), that will set standards beyond other RPGs released this year.

aside from AOI, Mass Effect is a must have action RPG that may very well be Game of the Year-class quality in storytelling and immersiveness.
