I've seen one rare monster in almost 100 hours, and I can't even remember what it dropped. It wasn't an Inferno Bazooka, though. Evil Al Rappies (and their various rare counterparts). =/

I had two Pal Rappies appear in the same wave for me, as well. But it wasn't in that room, it was the room before that with the six Rappies in a circular formation. The two along the west side of the room (northwest and southwest, specifically) were the ones that showed up as Pals. I got a Sacred Cloth and a Difluid off that pair, if I remember correctly. lol

Gotta keep trying. I just went through 8 Pal Rappies in 5 hours looking for an Angel Harp, and the last one finally gave me one. Through it all I found 16 Angry Fists, loads of mats and grinders, gained about 200k Meseta selling junk, and gained about 250k experience and a level (at which point I got fed up and switched to the TP trick). I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't stop until I got one. I'm nothing if not persistent. lol

And just so you know how persistent I am, adding those 8 Pal Rappies into the total I've now fought 73 rare critters in the 2 months I've had E1&2. Only 44 of them have actually dropped a special item, though. I keep a catalogue of all my rare critters, and if you're curious you can view it at the following link...
