Drop rates a little better?

Are the drop rates for A and S rank items just a "little" better in AoI? As in, will I not have to play one map for 3 straight weeks constantly on S and S2 and still not get an item I'm looking for? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

On area drops, like the [b] Agito, [b] Crea Doubles, [b] Psycho Wand, etcetera, the droprates ARE much improved - in one weekend of running the Linear Line (technically, one DAY of running the Linear Line) I got 3 [b] Crea Doubles, whereas sometime in March when female newmans had 2-3* luck for an entire week I spent that week in LL without a single board to show for it. It's probably one every 50-100 runs, instead of one every 500 runs; a marked improvement.


Sadly, however, they didn't improve droprates ANYWHERE else, and they aren't going to - the only place to find rares will be the new missions, because the new missions have improved droprates and the old missions... do not.

Shame, too. I was hoping to find a [b] Rikauteri from Adahna Degahna because I thought they'd improve the droprates.

Actually, my VoC S2 bullet leveling runs tell me all the general drop rates were buffed, but not by much. I picked up an average of 10 A or S grade synth materials as opposed to the 5 max I was picking up back in July/August. That’s in addition to the new drops, such as Armania (or something like that).

Also there is a very noticeable drop rate increase in the /resist units. I’ve seen at least 1 Poison/Resist per day of Fakis runs.

Well if I'm picking up 400 on B runs and I overherd a friend picking up 10,000 from a monster in an A run in Parum then I'd have to say yes. Also you get more points towards your class.
