Well I don't know if this is common knowledge but i just figured out putting the element into the "set item name" spelt out only brings up that element. Found it out trying to search for grm 8* twin daggers called "dark strauss" I was curious why ONLY dark was coming up for awhile lol. Well just figured I'd share that incase others didn't know that like me. Just like sega to put an elements name into a weapon so you get confused searching with there new feature.

...why not just search for "strauss"?

Lol I did now, Just I wasn't aware putting like fire strauss would bring up only fire ones. So when i put the whole name dark strauss in I was confused because i saw ice ones when i just searched for 8* daggers in general. I was just making this post because I hadn't heard anyone mention so alot of people might not know you can select element in the search that way.

Understood, and good to know! I recall hearing about being able to search by element. This will help out a lot when searching for a particular melee weapon. I hated searching for, say, earth double daggers and then having to go through all of the resulting rooms with double daggers, regardless of element...

Yes, because we are stupid nerds who don't play on the JP version. If US JP players don't tell us things, then we don't know them.

Could have sworn it had been mentioned several times in the AotI sticky...

Some people may not have the time to sift through the 100+ pages of that thread to pull out the few pearls of actual good information.

We need to fix the database. Whips are not 'Vishi', its 'Vish'. I couldn't search a good number of weapons because all the names are wrong.

Well, it is in the very first post of the sticky, so they wouldn't have to. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

I didn't look at the AOTI sticky past the first page and somehow i knew that you could search for elements. Got a bunch of nice 9* stuff like that for cheap.

Yeah, it was mentioned in the sticky. Hell, they gave an example of "GRM sword fire" finding any GRM swords that were fire element. *shrug*

You mean this?:

A new search function allows you to search by item name, rarity, price, element and other factors

What the OP is saying is that he typed "Dark strauss" into the search by item name category and only that weapon in a dark element was returned to him. If that is what the above quote from the first page of the sticky refers to, then I apologize. Otherwise, news to me. I can just enter "Earth Gizaha-Zashi", for example and only get that item in that element returned to me.

Yeah, that's what he's referring to, as far as I can tell.

And "<item> <element>" sorted by attribute type with price limitations = happy shopping

Nice to know. I already found some sweet gear for my Figh using just rarity, category, and price limits, with sorting done by attribute rate, but now... SHOPPING SPREE!!!
