Change your voice

In the Makeover shop you have the opition to change your voice, but I can't hear any of the different voices. Certain key I need to press? It used to be Spacebar, but that was when you were making a new character.

An easier way would be to make a new char and test the voices there, then remember which number and pitch you liked.

It works just fine if you have a gamepad. Not so much on keyboard.

You can test the voice by hitting the "Use Photon Art" Button (which shouuld be Right Arrow on a keyboard default). Now a further issue that wont allow you to perfectly hear and test the voice change option: You wont always hear a voice when you try to test it. In my case i have to spam the test key to hear a burst of voices go off in one turn, where you might as well perform the task beatrixkiddo(above poster) has proposed.

got no trouble on ps2 i just hit the square button just like in character creation.It lets ya test the voices out.So what ever button it was for pc ver when you first created the character my hunch is it will also work in lumilass.

yeah... I'm waiting until my friend comes over with his PS2 disk of AOI and I'm gonna change my voice on the PS2. (I'm glad I actually have a real life friends that plays with me now. He hasn't played in months and it's been annoying not having some one to play next to me.)

Push the button that you use for your PA (or secondary technic, as a techer), and it should let you hear that voice.

In the same vein....I was going through the voices yesterday as soon as I got AoI, and while I saw 17 voice options, I didn't notice that any of them were new. A bunch of them were just duplicates of the others. Am I missing something?

...HOW do you check your voice type in the makeover shop? I hit spacebar and it just brings up the text box. D: Halp.

This is what I did. I went to the store with around 50k meseta on me. I tried to change my character's face, but got an error message due to having too little meseta. After doing this, I tried out the new voices without any hassle by pressing space to test them.

If you're on PC, it doesn't matter anyway. You still only have the PSUv1 voices.

Well this must be a PC bug, because on PS2 i can test my voice when i choose to change it.

Granted im playing offline though. Im 50% sure it shouldnt make a difference though.

I seriously can't figure it out. It USED to be spacebar, but now that just brings up the chat log.

You might have to change the key bindings to be able to on PC...

You can of course, use the character creation screen to preview, write it down, then go online to Lumilass.

From time to time I run into issues with the voice previews when I create characters in window mode. Prehaps try testing it out in full screen if you arent already.

Well, my photon art button is the arrow keys, and that moves the slider around..

I don't think it's possible on a keyboard unless you've set your PA key off of your arrows.
