Can someone post some links (as many as possible) for xbox launch dates, info, etc. Anything will be fine considering there isn't much on it. Thanks

This site usually has the latest info as it is released about Xbox PSO.
What do you want to know about it? The people here know a lot about it. I'll answer any questions to the best of my knowledge.
(And don't pay too much attention to the Xbox haters, as there are a few of them around.)

PSO Xbox information:

Japanese Sites:

English Sites:

I pretty much want to know when is probably the absoloute latest release date will be, i know gamesotp announced 2.25.03 for a planned date (I think they are lying). If there will a monthly payment. How does xbl work i mean is it everone in the game talking at once, thats kinda hectic with 4 people all talking at their own will. Will keyboard be available? And any more info pertaining pso will be appreciated.

Well, the answer to much of that is, "We don't know yet."

Monthly Fee: Some say it will, some say it won't. There will be a fee in Japan, where the game is included with Xbox Live. As you probably know, both Version 2 (DC) and Ep. I & II on GC have monthly fees (Hunter's Licenses). However, the game is being published by Microsoft and hosted on MS's servers, not Sega's, which would suggest no monthly fee. This is one of the biggest issues of debate regarding Xbox PSO. We just have to wait till MS decides to tell us.

Release Date: Well, you probably know as well as us. EB says Feb. 25, OXM says March, and other sources have said May. The Japanese version officially launches Jan. 16, included with Xbox Live. (Personally, I don't see why there would be such a delay after the Japanese version, since the game is done and MS will have servers up and running for the JP version.) Another "Wait and see."

Keyboard: There will be a USB keyboard adapter released for the Japanese version. This allows you to use any USB keyboard. Whether this will be bundled with the game in the U.S., or sold separately in the U.S., is unknown at this time.

Voice Communication: Most people have guessed that it will work similarly to how other XBL games use voice communication. In lobbies, you will hear those nearby, and in-game, you will be able to hear your other 1-3 teammates. Most people seem to have good experiences with voice chat in XBL games. I haven't used it yet myself. There will be features to mute certain players or all voice chat when you feel like it. So hopefully it will work well, though we'll have to see it in action.

So, you probably know a lot of the above already. I'm really impatient, waiting for MS to give us information on the North American version (release date, pricing (or lack thereof), keyboard (or lack thereof), etc).

But all of the above is correct, to my knowledge.

Yeah, although Gamespot has said the release date was 2/25/02, and an employee for their site said that they got it from the publisher.

Also, GameFAQS, Electronics Boutique, XBOX Evolved, many other online sites, and many local stores have PSO down for a 2/25/02 release. I'd say that that is the official release date.

Also, in every other case, the fact that there would be a monthly fee was announced months before the game was released. The XBOX versioni is coming out next month, and there has been no announcement on the matter. And since the main reason there is fee in Japan is because the game is *free*...couple these two together, and I'd take Microsoft's silence on the matter to mean that there will be no monthly fee in the US.

...Except the 25th is a Tuesday, the day of the week when 90% of all video games are released/ship.

IGN (http://xbox.ign.com/articles/381/381508p1.html) says here also that the game is due out in February. One thing that i noticed, is that even tho the game is due out in Feb, No one has a picture of the US packaging, does that strike odd with anyone else..?

Sure, it's odd, but so has everything else that has happened with this game until now. Sonic Team mysteriously stayed silent on its contents until a few months ago, and a relese date for the States wasn't known until two months before its (impending) release. I wouldn't worry. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif
