FOmar weapons

what weapons should i use for my FOmar when i:
1. use my tech mag
2. use my melee mag

When I use my tech mag, I don't use any weapons. I do use Merges now, though. Casting without weapons renders the fastest spell casting in the game. ;o Although it's not the strongest, you can dish out damage fast and zip all over the map with ease.

With my Melee mag, I use whatever I feel like using. My favorite weapons tend to be Grass Assassin Saber (Very Hard and lower), a Raygun with decent hit % and a Gladius with decent hit % for Ultimate. The percentages in other areas vary. I have multiple guns and sabers I use. Just depends on the terrain.

I have this sweet pair of Vulcans I found the other day with Machine bonus and Hit bonus that I can trash the Ultimate Mines enemies with very very easily, but I have near 900 base ATP with my mag ;0;

ahhh i see i see. at the moment when i melee i use my db saber (only thing i can use at the moment) and when i do techs i usually use hildebear head (for foie without wasting tp) or talis (to gain back lost tp). i have some g-assassins waiting for me and im gonna get a soul eater tomorrow. if you have any other tips for FOmars i would appreciate it http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

For tech mags, I either go weaponless in order to cast spells at the fastest speeds, or one of the three elemental staves/canes/rods (Agni, Indra, Dagon). Those weapons kick ass 'cause they boost elemental damage by QUITE a bit, I always have them on me.

For melee, the only weapon I have that's worth a damn is Elysion, but even with my tech mag it does a VERY nice amount of damage. I'd guess that it's really more of a weapon for high MST FO's with its 650 (I believe) MST requirement, but a high level tank FO might be able to use one and kick a lot of ass.

I don't think you should go melee at all when using a Mind Mag.

For the melee part, I suppose the ideal weapons would be a SOUL BANISH, BLACK KING BAR, and a mechgun with hit %.

Like the others, I don't use weapons when I equip my tech mag, it's strictly tech whipping madness.

If I'm going to attack and use a melee mag, I use a wide variety of weapons I've found.

Hildebear's Cane: Great for use in the Forest or Caves, nice Foie boost.

Caduceus: Hard to find, but I scored one off a Red Slime the other day. Boosts the power of Grants by a lot, making an already damaging tech extremely deadly.

Angry Fist or Brave Knuckles: Just fun to use.

Varista w/good %'s: Simple and effective.

Those are just a couple of things I use, I tend to switch weapons a lot so I never really use the same thing all the time.

Even though PSOW says FOmar can use a BKB, they are wrong. FOmar has a big "X" next to the item when being viewed. =)

In that case, I suppose just a SOUL BANISH & a Mechgun w/ hit % would be the ideal weapons to carry around.

thats exactly how i go about killing with my fomar for the most part. my weapons are...
1-gucci assasin blades
2-hildebear cane
3-kadalbog
4-varista
5-soul eater

i generally enter the room with a varista shoot everything till they get close to me, switch to soul eater kill em all, any big guys i use g assassin blades, then if magic is needed i use my cane, and since i have a general battle in hella close quarter combat i switch to kadalbog for quick and deadly attak speed.

i got the g-assassins, varista, and hildebear cane, and yesterday i found a double saber so im usin that in v-hard right now. im gonna try to get to ultimate today but i know im gonna get my ass kicked so i gotta level first. im only 55 now.

even tho im a fomarl when melee'ing i use theese weapons.
victor axe 15/30/0/0/65
madams umbrella(on a fomarl gives a disgusting range bonus to s/d)
twin chakrums
and one day when i have the mst to equip it without a mind mag plantain huge fan
also before i go red saber is great for melee'ing fo's

Hmmm? What's this? No weapons raises spell speed?

Anyhoo, I use TP absorbing Weapons, majorly cuts down on Fluid use. Except on bosses.
