Where to find Catilium?

I've seen Catilium drop in Relics sites mainly, but not very often. Seems to be one of the rarer synth materials, considering so many weapons need it.

No. Diad is an area drop. Catillium drops only from boxes. Nothing at all similar.


Relics and Granigs seem to be the best places to farm these.

No, failing Vish Tien will give you Cladorian (or Junaline/Merculine/Neptuline/Mot Walna/something completely different).


Failing any A-rank two-handed striking weapon, however, would possibly give you Catilium. Caliburns sound like a good choice, unless the -5% synth for swords got fixed.

I've found a decent amount on Holy Grounds S2, Long Hall Map with the 8 boxes at the end, you don't even have to fight anything.

They should sell these synth items in NPC shops. 400K for Catilium makes me a very sad panda.

I've gottons Ydrals for failing Pegitas. So maybe you could get Catilium off a striking weapon that failed a synth. It doesn't have to be S rank as it can be done for A rank weps.

Moatoob Desert Terror S2, drops a TON of Catilium. You need to hunt it in boxes and rocks

Wait, so, how do you fail a synth in purpose? Just give it to like, a PM that has 0 strike or something?

Failed Synths (I succeeded 4 out of 9 of them with 20% Chance on each >_> WTF Sega )
7* Twin Saber -> Par Walna
7* Twin Saber -> Junaline
7* Twin Saber -> Petatite(Non-Component of S rank Two handed Melee Weps)
8* Single Claw -> Neu Walna
9* Twin Claw -> Neu Walna

No Catilium, but the Petatite Tells me that failing ANY A rank weapon will have a chance at giving you a Catilium. Not Just Two handed Melee Weapons (Since petatite is a S rank Single Handed Ranged wep component)

I got a catilium from a failed synth, I shoulda payed attention to what it was though. >.>

Neudaiz relics is the best place. You can find tons in the first block without killing any monsters.

Put in El photons for the photon, it reduces the chance by a lot, 7*=40% chance

I just bought a bunch of [B]s and failed them and ended up with 12 Catilium (good way to make money if you think about it, selling it for cheaper than other people)

Interesting, I suppose you can get any metal then. I only ever got the same class metal, so I just assumed it worked that way, seemed logical.

Maybe it's "melee metal", "gun metal", or "caster metal", because I haven't gotten anything but Ydral from failed Pegitas/Geists.

That doesn't work because I got Petanite ( a Gun matterial ) from a failed Melee Weapon. Any Metal can Come from any failed S rank Weapon

From What I've noticed from failing Synths though, is you usually get woods or -lines, not usually metals
