Point of claws?

I just compared my 9* saber with my 9* claw and noticed that they both have the same ATP, but the claw has less ATA. So.... I like claws and all, but whats the point of using them? Do they get better later on?

Maybe its the PA. Some weapons are bad but they have good Photon Arts.

I presume your claw is yohmei and your saber is GRM.
GRM weapons always have more atp. Claws would normally be stronger, right?
Is liking the claw not a good enough reason to use it.

It's all about the Senten rape. The claw UPA is godly when you JA it. The second hit does huge damage, knocks back smaller mobs, and stuns the large ones.

Claw's are faster, but I wouldn't compare them by weapon stats. I'd compare PA's and use.

Yeah hes got the right idea. Sure look at twin daggers their stats are pretty rubbish but they're one of the best weapons in the game.
Senten Kanzan-ga is actually a really good pa if you want to do a lot of damage in a short space of time (against worms, kogg nads etc.) or you want to get to the knockback portion of the pa quickly.

I just usually go by what I fancy using at the time of playing. And if my element on my weapon is more useful etc. I personally like claws on my Acrofighter because they hit really fast, and the JA is easy to pull off.
