i want to know if any of you got the 360 controller working on your computer running Vista. I've read guides saying to replace .inf and .sys files, but I'm completely lost. Do any of you know if it is possible to use the controller with Vista, and how did you do it if you did?
I'm running Vista 32bit btw.
Thanks.
Edit: My main concern is getting the triggers to work. I've installed XBCD and did what the readme says... but still no luck.

It's really hard with a 360 controller on vista.
First of all, you get the USB cable
and plug it into a USB port
then it works.
I kid you not. >_>

Haha, I got the USB controller, but my main problem is that the triggers cannot be mapped, which I need to play PSU...

You don't need the triggers, just use Default Pattern 2. It's almost exactly the same as the 360 controllers.

the triggers cant be mapped because they are not buttons. there labeled as "axis", since there pressure sensitive. So the best bet is to get a PS2 kind of a controller if your that determined to use the triggers. o_O;

Actually the triggers can be mapped as normal buttons. Well, it's possible. I use this program to do it with Windows XP, I just don't think it's compatible with Vista.

Yes, it is possible to map the buttons, but PSU on reconizes "buttons 1-20?", so you would have to find a way to map it as one of those buttons. so i dont know.
