Moatoob Pronunciation

Forgive me if the voice actors said this in offline mode, I haven't played it.

How is Moatoob pronounced? I always thought it was Mo-ah-tube, but in the PC/PS2 population topic (http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=161288&forum=20&start=15&30#16) I noticed the katakana for universes 49-52 in Japan say 'Mo-to-o-bu"... so why is there an 'a' in Moatoob? Or do we pronounce it differently in English cause we're fun like that?

I know I pronounce it wrong, but once something sticks in my head it stays there forever...but I say

If i remember right. They pronunced it like "Moe-tube". Not 100% sure though.

Yeah, that would be correct for the Japanese. It's confusing that we have an extra 'a' in there.

Honestly I used to pronounce it 'Mo-ah-tobe", I have no idea why, LOL

Do they use the same font and spelling for the signs on the 4th floor of Guardians Colony on the Japanese servers?

MO-TOOB for me. It's strange though when i see moa i think MO, instead of MO-a.

I think english language screws us around.

In the offline mode, it always sounded like ethan was saying moo-tube. I started saying it that way, kinda moo-a-toob, but the a is a VERY brief sound you'd only hear if you knew to listen for it...

umm, I agree it's new-days and I won't argue the ryucross or ragol... but I'll stick with how the voice actors pronounced the rest, thanks... pah-rum, moo-tube... they're happy words, and they make me smile.

Think Royale, replace Ro with Vol, and you have Vol-yal. Casino Voloyal.

I tend to go with Pengfishh's version because the coins are "Vol Coins". If we start with "Vol", t's hard to imagine "oyal" being separate without dropping the o, so we're left with "Vol-yal".

But "Voloyal" just looks like it should be pronounced the way pikachief does... yet another stellar naming decision by Sega.

I'm sure Sonic Team was thinking, "we're Japanese, cannot pronounce Ls consistently, and want this to sound like the Casino Royale in Montenegro. Since we interchange Ls with Rs, the same can work backwards." Essentially we started out with Royale, wanted to stick Vol on it, and decided Voroyale and Voloyale sans e is the same.

On the magical island planet of Japan, the natives pronounce the two just the same.

I used to call Moatoob "Mo-a-tuub" until I heard the offline voices call it "Moe-tuub" That A is rather throwoffish despite the spelling of words like "moat" and "boat". I should probably just call it Motabia though.

In all seriousness, I distinctly remember hearing "MOH-toob" in PSU v1's Offline mode.
