Does anyone else not want their weapon anymore once you lose the #/10?

I grinded a Shigga Desta to 4/7 and sold it to buy a 0/10. Now I have two 4/9 Shigga desta's which I'll sell to get some 0/10's.

I don't even want to grind it to 10/10. I just want to have them at 4/10 or 5/10. Anyone else feel like this? On any weapons?

That's lame. First everyone whine's how broken the grind system is, then praises the new system, and now whines again, but this time over SUCH a trivial thing! If you don't want a weapon at 10/10, then why even CARE for the max rank?!

Not really.

While being out of 8 or 9 reduces the value a little, one or two grinds do not give significant power jumps either. Its usually the difference at 5 and 10 thats really noticable. (Some weapons of course, it does matter on)

So no, I really don't care, and I'll be happy to have a Neiclaw +5/8.

I actually liked breaking my weapons when grinding them. Atleast I didn't have to worry about it anymore. I'd rather have the old system. If I decide to buy 30 deathmakers to try and get one to 10/10. I dont want 29 spare deathmakers to try and find something to do with.

So wait, what did you do before the new system?

You used to prefer to buy 30 Deathmakers, break as many as it took to however many to 10/10... so you'd end up with maybe, I don't know, 1-4 that are 10/10, and all the rest would be dust.

So now instead you end up with 1-4 10/10, and a bunch of stuff that isn't vaporized, and this is a problem because...? If you don't want the others, sell them on your shop or to the NPC. I don't really understand the problem here.

Not at all. My 6/6 weapons are better than those that I'm too scared to grind http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

I would feel the same way if I broke any of my weapon at least once. It's that perfectionist mindset some people have. As soon as it breaks once, it's not "perfect" or "mint" anymore. I think it's somewhat associated with minor OCD like some people wanting to sell their ipods after scratching the screen or dropping it on the ground.

Before AoI I was usually too scared to grind my good weapons past +1. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif Now at least I can settle for +3 or +4 and not even worry about it.

QFT, although I'm still too lazy and cheap to buy good grinders. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Yeah, like the one poster says, you can always sell a weapon you can't grind anymore...

In the old system, if it breaks, you're just SOL...

OCD, i have the same problem, but not as far as to sell a grinded one just to get another ungrinded one >_>

Not really though I've grown attached to them... I don't grind as much because of the fact that they might break.

I love my 7/7 Alteric, but I still wish I had stopped when it was 8/10.

Or 8/9.

Or 7/8.

*looks at 10/10 durandal replica* maybe grinding does make a difference.

Uhhh..... If you really think like this when you're grinding, just don't grind them. Or you could always quit the game, because the old grinding system is gone the way of the 1UP cup and FireBreak.... We have nothing but fleeting memories....(And Frying pans, Puyoment Auras, Rappy Suites, Garment Auras, Kitty Claws, Song For Deaths, Formalwear, and Bikinis)

when it comes to guns, or magic casting weapons of the A rank variety or lower, I will only want 10/10

I find it only helps on weapons with element percents attached to them. Before you'd stop at +1 cause that was the end of guaranteed, now you can get a little more. However if I'm grinding a 9* gun and it fails once, I would sell it for another. Not to mention I have +10 of the previous 9* guns, so unless I get a +10 of the new ones, I probably won't use it anyways(guess that makes me elitist?)

but all and all, it does benefit melee weapons more, but it sucks if you run around maxed at 3/3 with your weapon, and see someone else with 10/10, all because they were lucky, and you weren't
