Hard to prevent undercut when the person you're negotiating with has expressed a dislike for PMs in the past, so you try to deal within the thread, and someone else goes through PM and offers something slightly better, and you have no idea while they go through with their own trade, the entire time thinking that YOUR trade has been finalized and ready to go.
