I believe you're talking about Dizas (physcial shield) and Retnis (Technic shield). As for when we're getting them, I would almost say next to never beause of how broken they would be, even if they affected just caster alone.

How would you know? It's not even in the offline spells. And it looks NOTHING like Grants.

It looks more like a Holy Foie.

okay this has been bothering me and maybe i've been to dense to find them. Does the US pc version have the Nos spells at all? I've seen people talk about them, could have sworn I saw someone use one, but i can't find them anywhere http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

They're PA Frag techs, so you go to the Guardian's Colony on Neudaiz and exchange your fragments for them.

Also, Nosuzonde > Nosudiga > Nosumegid

There is either a Earth or Lightning Spell missing. I saw a video last year of someone using it.

It looks like some kind of Static Fence.. so to say

Incorrect. The only techniques we don't have are Dizas and Rentis. No others exist, even in the game data.

I do know what you're talking about, I remember this because someone else made a topic about it a month or two ago... I'm sorry to say, that was a common graphical glitch. It was Nosdiga in the video.

Yay, found the post!

if there are missing spells out there, we need to get them. New ranged PA's and Melee PA's come out of the "wa-hoozie" but we have yet to get any (that I know of) new Technics? I want a energy beam attack-like light technic... was that a bit too wordy? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif Nevertheless, I think some new technic PA wouldn't hurt. But you can't have your cake and eat it too I suppose.

Dizas and Rentis orbital shields since they're essentially barriers that orbit the caster. Looking at them, it makes me think they were never meant to be broken.

I think it would have been cool if...well, let's use the Rentis as an example. There's three little barriers orbiting the techer. Let's say something cast a foie on the caster. It hits one of the rentis barriers, so one of them disappears and there are still two of them remaining. Let's say another foie is shot at the techer, and manages to hit the techer without touching either remaining rentis barrier. Then the techer gets hit, and the two rentis barriers remain intact. That's what I think should happen. Penetrating techs like megid, zonde or barta (despite being a ground-runner) should be stopped in their tracks by a rentis barrier. Ra techs (techs that are AoE and come from the ground) and gi techs (some come from the ground, others from above) should hit the techer and dispel all of the rentis barriers in their effect range.

Maybe a little easier to clarify would be Dizas, the physical orbital barriers. Let's just say that an Armed Servant (Taguba) from Grove of Fanatics was suddenly able to cast dizas. Since the barriers only orbit around the middle of the body, a well-aimed handgun or rifle shot to the head or the legs would just go past the barriers and hit the target. Swords and whips should be able to cut right through these barriers and hit the target, shotguns should probably be stopped in their tracks unless the shotgun is indeed pointed directly at the target so the bullets don't even have the dizas barriers in their path. Simply put, dizas would be rather useless against us if enemies had it. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif Well, I'd imagine axes might have trouble with it...

I believe someone pointed out that the shield TECHNICS are damage reducers online, not nullifiers. Not sure on that though.

Basically, you want ST to program a separate set of hitboxes for Dizas/Rentis.

That will never happen.

I'd have to disagree...
Nosdiga > Noszonde and Nosmegid...(neither of those better than the other...)

BUT: Gizonde > All other spells

Nosudiga is garbage and the only reason anyone ever even uses it is because it can hit one target three times. I feel ripped off after buying it and leveling it to 21.

Nosdiga is not garbage! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif I like it...Why do you call them Nosu?

Uh...what other reason would people buy any of the TECHNICS? It's very good for taking out Polavohra and most of the other Lightning element enemies. Even if only one of the hits is critical, it can do about 4600 in one cast at level 33.

It's expensive, and it does less damage per second and per PP than Diga. I'm thoroughly disappointed in it.
