I'm just wondering if with AotI if there's a new locale for buff parties. Is it still Parum or is it another planet now?

Thanks in advance!

Also on a slightly off subject, can one get Twin Varistas anywhere other than the Casino (well... once they rotate back in I mean)?

As far as I know, the only major site for buff parties was Mad Creatures C.

Maybe. There were three running on Thursday afternoon (which is when I got mine up to 31).

Buff party is just a party that stand close to each other casting buffs (Shift, Deband, Zodial, Retier, Giresta) to level them up quickly. They do it on Mad Creatures C because its the quickest way to get the PP cube towards the end of the mission.

What exactly is a buff party, how do they work, and why do they use Mad Creatures C?

IIRC, it's basically a group of *-techers gathering around a PP cube in mid-mission and spamming their buffs in order to level them up.

Mad Creatures C is used for many reasons, I believe: It's the quickest mission to burn through, in order to reach the PP cube. Even low-level characters can join in to level their buffs. They probably just use that mission for the hell of it. I don't really know.
'Least, that's how I see it.

A buff party is where several Fortechers/Acrotechers huddle around a recharge cube and continuously cast buffs on each other to level them up. Buffs gain levels by buffing people, regardless of if they're buffed or not, and gain more experience the more people you hit. Therefore, six people (or four people and two NPCs, more often) huddle around the cube, spam their buffs, and recharge when empty. Mad Creatures C is the most popular option for this because of the fact that a cube is always guaranteed on block 3, and the mission is very easy to clear up to the cube.

Edit: Double-sarnath'd

Faster and fullproof to do a buff party on Valley of Carnage. Nobody seems to share my sentiment.

same here. I end up getting noobs trying to finish the mission and i spend more time booting people than buffing -_-
Hive is a pretty good choice too.

Private parties are much better for tihs, if you can make one.

On a side note, and I'm not sure if there is a more effective mission for this - but Sakura Blast seems to be a great place to level up Dam- and other attack techs. The boomas do there what boomas have always done, clump VERY closely together. The more enemies you hit with your attack techs, the faster they level up. I raised Dammfoie, Dammbarta, and Dammdiga from 3-5 to over 11, and Dammegid from 15 to 19 in just a few runs. It would probably also be great for debuffs, but the only PP Cube is in Block 4 and not TOO far from a decently sized spawn. If you fill your entire pallet up with wands/madoogs equipped with your debuffs, it would probably go fairly quickly.
