I think he fused with that female looking one in the VR Temple whose's name escapes me at this moment. Somehow upon the fusion gained the ability to use fly, subsititute, ice beam, and his usual rock slide.

probably, I think they are remaking al the PSO stages, the pictures with the stolen PSO monsters seem to imply it. Ronin was showing me some grass assasin ones. Looked like it was in the caves, in that one really big room with the green flor and the orange light in the center. Someone told me there was a new Ruins I think. So yeah, everything is being recycled left and right, probably.
