thats all bluefull gets from pal rappies, try as you may, you wont get anything better out of it, try going after some other rare monsters, check the item finding database out it has almost all of the rare enemies drops listed.

and 23 (yes TWENTY-THREE) mil lilies and my best item so far is a FRIGGIN PHOTON DROP. I gave up killing more than one a day to preserve my sanity and i will continue to kill one a day till i find my legit psycho wand. (purplenum)

Those Pals are little FREAKS. I think that my skyly FOmar has killed about 7 or 8 so far, and he's probably LUCKY to have found an Angel Harp.

At least you guys are finding them. Spent all day today, and yesterday, doing pipe tricks in Yellow in Fake, and havn't seen a single PAL.

Around the first time i got onto Ult on gc, I saw TWO hildetorrs in HS. Me and my partner finally killed them and one dropped nothing and the other a OMG MONOFLUID. Ive also seen two pouilly slimes, one mil lilie and one pal rappy. Well I've got a problem... its not that I'm not getting things... I JUST CANT USE THEM.... getting the darn thing is one thing... being able to use it is another... I FINALLY FIND A BLUE RAPPY AND THE DAMN THING DROPS A JUSTY.... I'M A HUMAR!!!!! and I kill a hildabear.... a red item box... I get sooooo excited.... AND ITS A VISK!!!!!!!!!!! oh but wait... I'm on very hard mode and I kill a pans arms... the yellow one drops a red item box... I kill the purple... and IT drops a red box... I almost pissed myself with joy... I walk up... Keep trying, Illiana. I found my Psycho Wand earlier this morning after days of hunting (see topic Mission: Psycho Wand in the MAG, Quest, Item and Section ID forum). I guess I got lucky, taking only twelve Mil Lilies to find it. And it's a force's dream come true. Now I need three more for my other three forces. lol

I don't know what your all complaining about. I have 4 different characters with different secion id's and I have only seen a total of 3 rare enemies.
Now please note that my lvls are as goes:

is there any better way to get the rare lilly's? I have seen one... and it dropped something completely worthless... I did manage to pick up a cure paralysis.... so far thats one of the best things I have found other than a ranger weapon.

There's two best ways to go after Lilies...

Episode I:
Play the quest Addicting Food in offline single-player and find the room near the end of Cave 2 that has six Lilies in it. Use the telepipe trick in this room until you get a rare Lily.

Episode II:
Play offline single-player, you need to get the VR Temple Alpha map that the first room you enter is maze-like and has smashers in it and four doors. First take the west door and clear that room. Move north to the next room and press the gate switch in there (clear the room if needed). Back-track to the pillar room, take the east door and clear that room. Move north to the next room and press the bridge switch (clear the room if needed). Now head to the room north of the smasher room, which the switches you pressed opened a gate and brought up the bridge. Do not kill any Lilies. Cross the bridge and a second wave of enemies will appear. Kill all the extra critters if you can and then use the telepipe trick until you get a rare Lily.

I actually picked that name due to the fact I'm obsessed with the game.... I've never met anyone who knows more than me about that game.... plus the name is sooooooooooooooooooooo frikin cool! I wouldent want to distort it in any way. So sorry for not being original and all... but thats just how it goes I guess... Anyhow.. Thank you for the information about the lilly's! I'm sure it will help quite a bit.

I got one of the first try too. Unfortunately, the Pal Rappies have since decided to bank their Star Amps so I can't PK-rob them DC style. By the way, my Pal Rappy count is now up to 18. Grrr!

I'm sck of Pal Rappy I have kill 11 of them and only gives meseta and difluid. In Fake in Yellow whit a pinkal.

Uhh... I'm sorta new and have a strange question about rare monsters. Do they appear in PLACE of their more common versions? ie. If I enter a room that usually has tons of Rag Rappies and I'm lucky, will one of those rappies be a Pal Rappy *instead*? Or is it the case that rare monsters will sometimes appear in specific places but necessarily in place of where a common form usually would be? Errr, I hope that makes sense.

the rare variant of the rag rappy is the al rappy, which appears in normal to very hard. in ultimate the el rappy in replaced by the pal rappy. except for the temple where the rare variant in all difficulties in the love rappy.
same thing for the hildebear. normal to vhard is the hildeblue, ultimate, the hildelt is the mean and nasty hildetorr *shudders*.
caves, the red slime is the same for all difficulties. poison lillies in normal to vhard become nar lillies and ultimate the ob lillies become mil lillies. *SHUDDERS*

hope that helps. and it helps to bear in mind that they are called rare enemies for a reason. sont go about hoping to see them all the time.

The rare critters replace their common counterparts. For example: say there's a wave of three Rag Rappies sitting in a triangle formation. If you got an Al Rappy, it would be in place of one of those same Rappies.

The LCK stat does not effect rare critter encounters. As far as I'm concerned, nothing does. It's just a certain probability (I'm guessing either 1 in 100 or 1 in 256) that a rare critter will replace its common counterpart. Sometimes you get one. Sometimes you get many. Sometimes you get none at all. But the more of the critter type replaced by rares that you meet, the more chances you have to find one. This is why the quest Fake in Yellow is so sought after for rare Rappies. There's forty-four total Rappies in the quest, so that's forty-four chances to find a rare Rappy. And that's without using the Telepipe Trick.
