AotI-PC/PS2: How can I add a box present with a item into a

I tried to do It..

Went to 2nd floor bought the box, went to my friends room.. set the decoration set to on.. when I choose the spot It says I only have 1 spot to use (The box requeries 4).. so It doesnt work!!!
