PSO Episode I and II for Xbox Release Date Set

According to IGN and several retailers, Sega of America aims to release the Xbox version of Phantasy Star Online Episode I and II in the US on February 25th 2003. There are also plans to ship a USB adaptor to use with a keyboard with the game's Japanese release, though it's not confirmed yet whether it will also ship with the US release.
No further details are available so far, but RPGFan will keep you posted.



Wow, I can't wait til this comes out. THey didn't even mention a monthly fee. So I'm guessing it won't have one. But who prefers voice chat over keyboard? I prefer keyboard when it comes to trading and lobby. But voice chat when it comes to the battle field.

a lot of sites/retailers are pointing to a 2/25 release date for PSO, and while i would love to believe it, notice that no one has any info on pricing plans. and no one has in box cover art! also keep in mind that Sonic Team has slippery release date, but then again the game is allegedly finished and in Microsoft's hands...

Most likely the release date is bull, I'm not expecting to see it until March. At LEAST.

Since *so* many retailers and news sites have the *same* release date, and even GameSpot insists that it came from the publisher, I would bet a rather large sum of meseta that 2/25/03 is the official release date.

the only problem with "official" release dates is that they tend to slip nowadays, like its more of a trend than something actually needed.

Why do you think it will take till March or later? Not attacking your opinion, but I seriously want to know. I just can't figure out why we would have to wait so long after Jan. 16 (when Japan gets the game). I assume that all the English translation (localization) has been finished for quite a while (ever since Yuji Naka said that Sonic Team finished the game and gave it to MS). If the servers for the JP version are up Jan. 16, why can't the US servers be up by then? It just doesn't make sense to me. Maybe there's something I'm missing.
