Quest: IT FINALLY HAPPENED. Now, I need advice.

Today, I had a colon cleanse.

After months of searching, I finally, finally have the board!

Of course, I don't have the gun yet. I also happen to be at an impasse. See, I want to eventually own every SMG in PSU, including Kubara variants.

So I have a choice here. I can either attempt to synth the Muzzlefevic or the Muzzlefever. Muzzlefevers appear to be more common on the market right now, and--in the worst case scenario--I COULD try to amass enough meseta to buy one. I had been preparing for just such a thing (although the cheapest muzzlefever I could've bought was snatched up before I got home from college ... ).

Kubara synth rates are always lower, natch? However, with the AotI synth boost and the current boost in synthing, I should still have a fair shot at getting a Muzzlefevic ... right?

Should I take advantage of our synth bonuses right now to try for the Muzzlefevic (which would be much harder to obtain later on), or play it safe(er) and try for the Muzzlefever?

I would make a Muzzlefever and actually use it. Kubara variants are just a showpiece unless its +10...and I think we both know whats going to happen to that plan after +3. *shatter* You can always get one later.

if your doing it for the purpose of collection, get feveric first. You wanna take out the unwanted and harder to obtain one first, so the better one is that much sweeter.

I hear most kubaras become better than their standard counterparts of equal grind level when you grind them. Also kubaras get PA bonuses last I heard.

I think you'd be happier with the Kubara. You'd be very unique, if nothing else.

If you're going to get both anyway, I'd say go with the kubara first. Its lower synth rate will be countered by the synth bonus we have right now, and I'm sure the normal boards will become more and more common eventually.
That being said, I say go with the normal variant. The special gun effects make it that much more fun to use.

Make the Feveric; after the synth bonuses it won't be as easy. You can make the Muzzlefever anytime, or just buy one.

I say take the risk and make the Feveric because now is your best chance to come out grinning.
And like you said you can always save up money for a normal Fever.

Just got back and inserted the board into my pure ranged PM. Looks like right now, a Muzzlefever has a 96% success rate, and the Muzzlefevic has a 91% success rate. I was honestly thinking it might be way lower for the Fevic even with our current rates.

I'm not expecting to get the gun out of this (a lot of stories of failed synths at high rates after all) either way I go, but I think I might as well try for the Muzzlefevic since rates are so high right now.

We still have a week of the synth boost and Super Holy Light, right? Maybe I might be able to find another board when this fails; prices for the Muzzlefever've practically been cut to a fraction of their pre-1UP levels (first it was 75m, then 30m, lowest I saw was 14m). If that continues I just might be able to comfortably buy the regular gun, though I should probably save up for the 11* one ....

The Muzzlefever has only one thing going for it, and that's the bullet. Even that isn't too unique looking, it only says "Hey, I have an S rank you don't".

I made mine a Fevic because of the PP. 1046 base with only 7 less ATP (that's maybe 2 damage per bullet?) than the Fever. Grinded to 5, it almost breaks 1200 PP.

Unless you want the unique firing sounds and whatnot, Fevic is the better choice as it has a much larger PP pool, and since all mechguns have low ATP, the difference is minimal anyway as most of your damage will be based on your character's base ATP.

Plus the stats on feveric are prolly very close to fever and following the trend the feveric will have more pp in the long run.

Screw the Kubara version Gattie. Kubara version just grinds better, but the normal one is what YOU want. If you somehow managed another one, go Kubara. Otherwise, stick with the normal!
