A little problem. I've been finding myself on the verge of switching races and can't seem to make up my mind. I seem to use magic more than melee but also enjoy the occasional fist fight. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif My whole deal is I realise human damage (ATP) is already middle road stat wise and newman is lower, but will i really notice the difference? the classes i've enjoyed on my human were
acrotecher, acrofighter, foretecher. Been wanting to try protrancer but haven't gotten around to it http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

any help is appriciated and please forgive the small wall of text!

If you enjoy switching classes, I'd say stick with the Human.

If you like to physically fight, Newman is not for you. :[

Try human Wartecher; it sounds up your alley.

The difference between human and Newman melee damage isn't very high, especially when compared to the tech damage difference. Newmans do suffer from the lower DFP+HP for an EVP gain that isn't noticable, especially on the Acro-classes, but they gain a lot more MST.

So if you want to be more polarized toward tech damage, Newman is your obvious best choice, but it's not going to be a huge difference either way.

Newman isn't THAT bad at melee. My Female Newman Wartecher/Acrotecher and my Male Newman Fighgunner are totally awesome. But it depends on what kind of ears you got. If you want pointy ears, go Newman, if you think pointy ears are ugly, stick to Human. Even though I got 2 Newmans and 1 Human, I personally believe that Humans are the supreme race, but pick what you like, or make a Newman alt.

I believe look & style is more important to this stage of PSU currently. Do you like pointy ears or no?

Many would like to claim that we are currently in easy mode.

This game really does ultimately come down to what kind of ears you prefer.

if its a tossup between ditching your human for a newman, the stat tradeoff between the races doesn't really pay enough, especially if you like to be versatile and switch classes.all newman will do is limit the versatility.lower atp/hp base stats won't help you.the choice of course is yours though.

now if u commit to making a fortetecher newman alt, convert all the tech pas from your human to disk and switch them over to the new techer.but if your just switch happy,do whatever pleases you.humans are better suited for the versatility role than newmans, who are only a little weaker but are more oriented toward specialization in TP stat.

The difference in ATP between a newman and a human is the same as a human to a CAST.

At level 100, 69 ATP. Not really that jaw dropping.

If you wanna be a lot of classes, then stay human.

Solution: multiple characters

and for the love of all things right don't go newman protranser

I know a godly Newman Protranser. Shes the only one I've met in the game. It makes her even more godly.

Anywho, be whatever you want. This game really makes use of every single race/class combination, even if sometimes its use is pretty redundant.

Make another character. Or choose Newman if you like the way they look better. Otherwise, stay human... no point in starting over.

I wouldn't worry so much about having the "correct" class/race combo. Half the fun of the game is variety.

I'd like to try Acrotecher but I'm a Cast so yeah. I actually wanna support as an acrotecher.
