Well going along with the story... she is a newbie Guardian and all.
Also it might have to be because she is using low level techs...

She is the cliched RPG character that starts off really bad, but eventually gets to be really good. When she is level 100, (when your char is 105), she gains some more technics, 21-30 foie and rafoie I believe. If the trend follows, then she will eventually become very good.

If her level is under 50 (meaning you're under 55), she's useless- she'll cast a few Ra[whatever]s, then stand there and get pummeled. No healing, no Reverser, nothing.

After 50, she starts healing and supporting- she even casts Retier sometimes, which can be handy. At that point, she's worth bringing in a solo mission if you've already got someone useful as your first NPC.
