View Full Version : Need your guys advice on what element to make Agito Repca!

Just found the board and luckily had most of the materials sitting around to make it.

I am wondering about future hotspots, for example, just before 1up, light would have been a good choice, or ground perhaps. Anyone know what the current hotspot is in Japan and is likely to become here? Obviosuly I know different missions have different appeal due to preference, drops and so on...

Also bearing in mind enemy types(ie swords IMHO ar not to great at fast/small/teleporting...so on enemys).

If anyone has any advice on this, I'd love to hear it(neutral maybe, I bet it would be unique, heh). Meh, I have yet to grind this guy once its synthed(I am so glad I had most of those Agito Edges).... getting the board is the easy part it seems.

I don't think it matter much at all.

Just pick your favorite color or a color that fit the blade.

Though personally I would make it dark, just so that it look cool with my character. "Feel the PWNZER of my demonz katanazz!!" If you know what I mean. Or "My blade of justice will strike down alllll eBil!!" with light element =P

In the future, there will be this "guardian road" thing that give specific mission boosted EXP, MP, drop. So, it is safe to assume that "key" element will change due to the hot spot very often.

The only reason to care for the high % or specific element due to efficiency is to show off at your favorite mission in how 1337 you are; hitting 6666 damage per swing.

Personally I've never had a problem with elements, How many Agito's are you gonna come across. it would be nice to use it in any situation and not worry about the element.

If your positive you want an element on it, wait for an importer to post the future hot spot elements.

My suggestion is to make it dark, then trade it for a Huge Cutter and switch to Fortefighter so you can be a Soul Reaper. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Yeah theres some kind of stat server somewhere that shows what people have been doing on the Japanese PC/PS2 server and maybe what job they are. That would be helpfull in predicting future hotspots. I kind of know about Guardians Road and from what I've heard, it has not been a great success... I could be wrong....

Maybe with Festa coming up(allegadly) I should look and see what spawns are like in there, for 1up I would have made it light.

I am kind of inclined towards light... at least when I carry on at the hive it will be easier to get another; though my next hunt will be for the Kan-Yu unless something else grabs me.

I don't believe guardian road are out at all in both Japan and US/EU server. Could be wrong, I should look it up...

The last level of every game in each chapter of the PSO series has been filled with dark enemies. Because of that, I make all my rare armors dark and all my rare weapons light first and move on to other elements after that's covered. (See Dark Rycross or however it's spelled on the JP version now.)

Well, it gets synthed in a few hours time. Light sames to be the consensus(such as it is), now gotta hope the % is ok(my 11* spear came out 10%... bah).

I usually make it the opposite element of the majority of monsters in the place I found it. Then I can use it to find others and make _them_ into whatever.

OMG, you made it light?!? Guess what enemies are gonna be in the new missions tomorrow? Light! Congrats!!! It's a good thing my Svaltus Sword came out 36% Dark, cuz I'm ready to rape that place.

I think light is a good choice in the long run. GC is the only place where all mobs are same element in every mission (as far as I can tell). So anytime you feel like going to GC your Agito Repca will be quite usefull.
PLUS light and dark mobs barely ever mix with the other 4 elements in one mission (emphasis _barely_ - I know they do sometimes http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif). So you can use it as "neutral" weapon in all missions that have neither dark nor light mobs.

Btw I wonder why ppl would make a neutral weapon, I know being "unique" feels awesome for some but... neutral weapons just suck. I got a togeha-zashi fulldrop recently and as I saw its neutral I almost cried... any A rank twin dagger with even sucky % will outdamage them so... what are they good for?

Too bad that mission is aimed entirely at forces (drop-wise), and from the way he talks, he won't want to spend much time there.

Sryno.

ARMOR elements are less effective, weapon elements are either unchanged or slightly buffed, hard to be certain with all the high damage everyone/everything is doing.

Damn straight! I gotta force but as I remember the only thing that drops there that almost interests me os the Cati-Force... and I already have the head slot filled with Har/Quick... if I was going to use a TP unit I would use my Sori/Tech Charge(twice as much TP as Cati if I remember... ok guzzles PP but worth it).

It's getting made tonight, I just hope I dont turn out a bad %, chances are I'm making it light unless I have some major revaltion.

Please dont make bad(remembers 11* spear yesterday that came out at 10%... anyone wanna buy Muktengek(spelling? Tenerora 11* electric spear... I was looking forward to that to...). Thanks for your advice guys. Keep it coming though as its not in the cook yet and anything can happen!

I'm not so sure they even fixed armor elements, although I'd have to do some more testing. Took a quick pass at holy ground, though, and tried using a 28% light Ageha-senba (4* armor) with a mega rainbow and a lightning-element Weld Line (8* armor) with the 50 DFP body slot unit.

Result? Took approximately half the damage with the Ageha than I did with the Weld Line.

Planning on playing around with it some more, but unless I'm missing something, DFP and MST on armor is still pretty useless compared to the elemental bonus.

Light if you plan on spamming Electronic Brain over and over, Dark for the new missions, or Ground for Mother Brain and other missions.
