12/14 PC/PS2 Meet and greet event.

Hello, we all may or may not know of we have new(and old) players looking to make friends or find people to party with or whatever. Sometimes its a little hard to get meeting times down so I figure in time for the new contaent update that we have a meet and greet event, where people can exchange cards, party or just goof off and have some fun. I know its a little short notice, but I think sometime around 6:30 PM MST would be a good time to ave this. The big question would be where seeing as how not everyone is on AoI as of yet.

We did this last night. Cylez 4 (outside Linear Line) at 8pm est. I think thats 6pm mst, but not sure...

A bunch of people showed up and exchanged cards and then we did runs for a couple of hours ~ joking the the whole time and having fun ~ and then a trip to the Casino. AWESOME night on PSU. I'm going to go back there each night that I'm on and meet more people. If enough of us meet up, exchange cards, and get runs going we can build a cool group that likes to play together, have fun, and help each other out.

Melgrin, if you have to ask why people who play an online rpg would want to meet up and make new online buds then its safe to say at least one thing: no need for you to show up, haha.

Some people like to be social and make new friends. And unless your real-life friends also like to play PSU, you need make friends in PSU to play with.

Its really not that complicated.

I'll be there tonight at 8pm est. I think the idea is just to encourage people who want to make more friends in PSU to show up outside the Linear Line (Cylez 4) ini Uni 2 and say hi. We did that last night and exchanged cards and went on a ton of runs. It was fun.

I'll keep going back there, and I think other people will too, so we can keep getting more and more people to meet each other.

Last night Yuneiko, Laranas and I showed up, plus a new player named Silencer. As the night went on we gathered up more players, like Mathias. Later Altheiser and Zach joined in our runs. The more people we get to show up and exchange cards, the more active players we each know. Before you know it there'll be tons of active PSOW'ers (and others) playing together. There ARE a lot of players out there, its just a matter of getting people to get to know each other. Once they do, its cool to have people to play with.

Yuneiko's been awesome. Yune's level 60-something, but very cool about playing people of any level. Yune's taken us on TD runs, HMS runs, whatever. And Yune's veryt cool/patient about explaining levels or things to do, and doesn't freak if a newbie dies or something.

Overall, this is working out really well.

Anyway, yeah, I'll try to get to Cylez 4, Uni 2, outside the Linear Line around 8 EST tonight.

At this point, I recommend that we actually move the meeting time up a couple hours, in case the servers aren't up by then, just as a precaution.

I forgot all about this. I'd like to attend but with the recent issue at hand, no one knows when the servers will be back on. Plus with I am legend coming out today *going to see it too* maybe rescheduling might be a good idea.

I want to do the meet and greet (because I missed the last one by 1 minute) but at the same time, my college chums drag me around all weekend. it's hard to find people to play PSU with, espically when your schedule is so irratic. But someday, I shall play with a group of PSOWers.

I'm not sure if we need to change the time for this meet and greet now. Since the xbox 360 servers are back up, even though the meet and greet is for the pc/ps2 and i'm hoping the pc/ps2 servers are gonna be back up soon (which they should be working on soon). So we might not have to change the time, or at least I hope we don't have to.
