What the hell is this mission?

All it does is spawn Rappies, Jaggos and Darbelans in seperate rooms infinitely.

And I mean infinitely. I've been at this with an IRL friend for an hour so far.....

The mission description is messed up too... its like LINEALINE with a few bad ASCII characters and the crystal in the front is now the NPC that gives you standard/special flight and she gives like 4 blank options when you talk to her.

....or is this normal and i'm just bugging the hell out? I have like 50 Christmas Trees lol

Yeah, i am being serious. Its most likely a badly hacked room.

Either that or Sonic Team is seriously screwing up. But thats highly doubtful. If a GM accidently spawned a test room on the public servers, thats REALLY saying something about the garbage GMs we have on our version.

This sounds like a GM test game that is usually done on the internal servers to test certain monster drop frequencies. I guess sega goofed and put it on the live servers again. Anyone remember the accidental "emergency GM system" message?

rareenemycheck is most definately a GM test game that accidentally escaped onto the live servers, what universe and lobby is it on? Because that place is the best place to go to find odd glitches right now. Its basically like a protected area from dothack and I want to fight some databugs!
We might even be able to access the PSU version of "lost ground" lobbies from that mission. If I can get into a lost ground it will be bookmarked and that would be awesome.

There is currently a mission on Hive, looks like it is on all universes. It appears to be a GM room...allows you to fight 3 types of rare monsters that come at you in waves of 5, Rappies, Jaggos, and Darbelans. Not sure how this got out, if it was Sega's doing (accident im sure). Just wanted everybody to be aware. There will probablly be a roll back as soon as Sega finds out. I am on 360, not sure if this mission/room made it to PS2/PC. Somebody should check.

Worst case...Sega does a roll back. That is assuming it is a "Sega" related issue. If the game was actually hacked by somebody it may take sega a while to fix their problem/backdoor. If it takes a long time I don't think they will be able to do a roll back for fear of a backlash from the community. Think about all the players that are not aware of this mission who have already found good drops today, leveled up, etc.

This needs to be addressed by somebody at Sega ASAP.

I doubt anybody will be banned, it is a mission that is currently "available"...it should NOT be available, so worst case I think we are looking at a roll back. Sega cannot ban hundreds of players (or more) simply for playing this mission.

It is not a good thing, it cheapens the game and ruins other aspects. If something, anything becomes easier to find, or even ultra common, it loses its value. This is bad.

Wow. If this is true, that's saying a lot about the frequency drop rates.

BTW, before sega pulls a roll back, can anyone please note down the freaquency drop rates on these creatures? Might as well take advantage and see how rare these boards and bullet saves really are.

God, I hope when they pull the roll back, they won't screw up our extra week of 1up rewards. I never finalized my character's look from the makeup room, and got some extra clothes I wanted to buy.

I stand corrected. I didn't get a dead end in block 3... I fought those darbel things. And the NPC transports you to blocks if you want to skip any of them. the options are block 1, 2, 3 and cancel respectively.

Let me ask u, how is that fair to the ppl who dont know about the mission or who havent ran it, seeing as how it isnt there fault. Honestly a msg was posted on the official site like 3 and a half hours ago. If anything should be done. It should just be removing that damn mission. For everyone who got rares out of it, good for you. But i still dont think its right to punish other gamers who havent messed with it because of a mistake. That is just my opinion.

True, it won't be fair to the players who haven't done the mission, but a full rollback will be needed to fix the economy. Besides, all I'm getting to fight is christmas rappies due to my low level (59). Thus all I am getting is christmas tress. SEGA and angry players shouldn't be looking to get players like me (all I'm doing is getting money). It's the higher level players who will be getting high level rares that will make the most impact. And it's because of the glitch that I won't do any normal missions today, because I know that the rollback is possible. So I'm just using this oppurtunity to get some money. If I loose it, then I loose it. Most of you are acting like there was much of an economy to begin with. A rollback isn't needed, I don't think. SEGA just needs to turn off the mission and move on. Daggers of Serafi are seasonal, in the end they'll still be rare and the meseta gathered in this mission will vanish to NPCs. Easy come, easy go.

I actually know people who've gotten rarer stuff legit than I have in the mission today, so I think more damage will be done to the people who actually played, than the exploiters (myself included), if there's a rollback.

I wa splaying a couple minutes ago with some people. On eof them said something very true. Probably SEGA is making blind about this issue, to let all players play the mission. And then, if and only if, they would have a string excuse to do a rollback.

If the working theory on synths is correct, you'll be able to pull them out of your PM with the same % when the servers come back up. Supposedly, the result is decided at the time of inserting materials.

They may not do a roll back, but I find it hard for them to not to, if its anything like when they got rid of hacked weapons before, if they were inserted into your partner machines, then they will still be there. All they realy need to do is look at the sighn in data for the mission anyone who was in there just gets items removed that dropped on that mission thats acualy easier than a roll back and the servers whont be down long. Hope ST figures out how easy it is

Agreed. Not just getting rid of the drops, but tracking all the drops that were sold? Plus the meseta, and anything bought with said meseta... and exp...

They need to either leave it or take it all, unfortunately.

These things happen and unfortunately it affects a lot of people.

I'm sure Sega would have liked to spend weeks tracking every single item, exp and meseta that resulted from the mistakable release of this mission but that would be a large waste of time. The reality is this, it needs to be fixed and there is no surefire way to tell on the short-term whether or not somebody got something as a result of this mission.

A roll back is pretty much the only short-term fix possible. It's not fair to the people who didn't know about/exploit the mission but it is the best way to limit this damage in the short term.

I find it comical how many people were posting here about how "a rollback probably wont happen" or "isnt needed" considering all that was dropping in this mission (xp included). If you are one of the people who thought this wouldnt happen I would save your family and friends the heartache and just check yourself into a mental institution because you are missing important regions of your brain involving reasoning skills.

I got all the sympathy in the world for people doing normal missions and losing stuff, but the people exploiting this hole in the game acting offended about the rollback really make me chuckle.
