I believe that is exactly what he means... It is quite illegal, but I think many people do it. I used to, until I got caught and am now serving life in prison... Just kidding! Well, it is illegal, anyway. It does save money though...

back when I played PSO on the DC I had AOL so I had to find a different way to dial-up. At the time there were tons of "free" ISPs. You didn't have to pay for them but you did have to use their software and have banners everywhere. Unless of course, you knew how to dial up directly and bypass their software. I used this method for a while, but unfortunately, I wasn't the only one doing this kind of thing (not just for PSO) so they made it so the ISP checked if you were running the software about 10 minutes after you signed on then would kick you if you weren't. After that I could only get on for 10 minutes at a time so I quit.
I'm not sure what this joker's up to though.

I used to go to a website that on the forum people would share their isp's with other people. I used v1 and v2 online for about a year before my "borrowed" isp stopped working... i honestly don't think he has anything to gain from this... he is leaving some info out though... hey defessler, e-mail me or something, you are leaving out where to get dial up #s, dns #s, and such... come back!

I also used free ISP's to go online back in the pso ver.1 and 2 days. The account would last me 1 month without any problems then after a month it would disconnect me every 15 minutes exactly. When this happened I would just switch to another Isp and start again. I used Juno and Netzero.

Yeah. It is other people's account. People posted some of these on GameFAQs and got moderated for it.
