Weapon Grinding question

I just grinded my Pumpkinhead to 8/8 (hoping for 10/10 but eh, oh well) and one of my friends said that I should've used B or A-rank grinders for it, even though it's a C-rank weapon.

I never knew that they'd give an extra boost. Is there data for this available somewhere? o_o Or should we start working on investigating this?

Well, for some reason A+10s are selling for a lot cheaper than C or B+10s. Well. Depending on what version you play anyway. I think that it there is any real difference it's very slight, it won't make A+8s work 100% on your C rank weapons or anything.

The market is flooded with them so the price goes down.

I had it down to choosing between A+10 or S+9 on an a-rank weapon. The A+10 had a very good chance, the S+9 had a good chance. Not exact wording, but moo.
